yea but at least attack and defence is normalised in normal crucible games.

if you aren't rocking a 300 atk weapon in iron banner, forget about it lol :D

Auto rifles are getting nerfed at some point in the future, and Red Death (PvP Pulse Rifle) has far better PvP stats on it than Suros imo.

But yea current version of Suros is pretty broken ^_^
 
Suros Regime i was lucky enough to have it drop 4 days before XUR. I dont think there is any better AR in game atm (ourside raids) ATM i am sitting on 31 strange coins and i dont think there is anything i would want to buy off xur. Speeder upgrade i guess next :P

I cant find use for exotic heavy weapons. They are to situational

It wasn't to bad in the "safe" spot. We did it last night with 3 of us. The downside is if you get revived/die you have a habbit of appearing on top or to the side of the platform. Triple burn makes sure you die VERY quickly since every enemy is hitting with an element at that point.

If you stay under the ramp for the most part you can't get hit, the biggest worries are the captains and shanks immediately in front of you as they really suck. There is the cave that Vandals like to spawn in, specifically the ones with the one hit sniper, which can really ruin your day if you don't deal with them immediately.

Other than that it's just a case of hitting the boss in the shins with everything you have!

what about the "Ice Breaker" sniper that needs no ammo and automatically regenerates it ?

I haven't noticed an increase in damage with my now fully upgraded suros regime, so I'm not entirely sure how iron banner is different. it just feels the same as regular crucible to me and I do no better or worse than I usually do. It was doing ~32 non crit and 45 crit at ~270 attack and its still doing that at 300 attack, these were the same numbers I was doing in regular crucible.

How I thought it would work is this:
An auto rifle with 100 attack would do roughly 3 times less damage than the same design with 300 attack but that doesn't fit what I have seen. I'm also assuming armour should make a small difference in the amount of damage you take or the health/shields you have but that's hard to verify as nobody knows how armour works in this game or even if it works the same in PvP and its impossible to check it as you cant create your own matches.

There's a lot of claims going round, which I tend to agree with in that something in Iron Banner is broken / not working as intended.

Damage output seems the same as crucible and the same against people of different levels.

Low level guns seem to do the same as high level guns of the same type (despite higher ATK rating)

I feel there is currently no difference between Control and Iron Banner (except the name)
 
Iron banner feels like such a waste of time. No iron rep if you lose and out of 20 something matches i've been in 2 winning ones, which netted me a total of 50 rep out of 1200 i need to reach rank 2. Everything still feels balanced in that my legendary auto rifle was killing people with the same ease as the level 1 cracked sight weapon you get when you just start the game.

I'm only wanting to get to rank 3 so i can buy the armouer for cheap and turn it into shards, but knowing bungie that'll be nerfed when i'm about rep level 2 3/4!
 
Fr0dders i dont do Sniper Rifles with my aiming skill on pad I can barely hit targets in PVE. I got fusion rifles for big ******* shields + minigun for bosses. Bur TBH 95% of time its Suros.

Thing is im 28+ but by looks of it Nightfall is out of my reach. How do hell people are doing those i got no clue. Everything one shots you ***** is harder than normal raid heh.

Hiding a lot helps. You definitely can't get away with running and gunning on Nightfall. Especially if the enemy has a burn modifier bonus, because that stuff kills you quicker than a desert melts ice!

I was level 25 when I entered it yesterday with a level 20 auto rifle and I came top a fair few times and raped a fair few people... However there were some people who seemed to drop me in like 1 second... I've got a pretty good aim too and get a fair few headshots so guess they have a 300 + weapon? How do I get a good 300 + damage auto rifle?

I've done 3 nightfalls successfully;

- Archon priest
- The nexus (dude with spoinny shield)
- Val Turac (or whatever it is)

In each instance we have 'glitched' the boss so he can't hit us using tips from reddit and the likes. Otherwise we'd stand absolutely no chance in hell, how people are supposed to do them legit seems crazy!

We cleared VoG (normal mode) in 1hr 20 minutes last night (with 2 pre-last boss wipes) and the archon nightfall was exponentially harder!

This is what i've tried out today, ended up using a level 16 galahad-e and it's mowing people down loads easier than my red death or atheons epilogue. It's crazy.

I know the feeling. We did most of the raid first attempt yesterday (not including Gorgons/Jumping and the oracles where someone went afk without telling anyone :p).

We did Valus Ta'aurc without having to glitch anything but it was more than a little tense thanks to my dc mid-fight.

3 of us tried Winters Run just after. Couple of silly mistakes/restarts aside because of the HobGoblins... that last boss is just stupid. Boss never stops chasing you down and can 1-2shot you. Snipers can 2-shot you. Shanks are seemingly everywhere and deal massive damage with a shield that makes dealing with them problematic. We died within 15 seconds of the boss starting.
 
have everyone hide in the cove where you enter the boss arena. Have one person stay up while the other two jump down and chuck grenades and shoot him while he stands round the corner. If enemies come into the cove, jump up the ledges and hide, if people get down wait until it's safe to revive them and then resume the grenades/shooting. The priest stays just round the corner the whole time.
 
TommyV was thinking that its impossible without glitching or haxing of bosses.
Last night me and my mates wiped on Archon priest for 1.5 hour@ 28 weekly heroic. Snipers that shot from miles away for 90%hp this is ********.
Guess thats that for our endgame then :P Weekly 28 is maximum we can do heh.
 
After hours of play, decoding engrams, getting nothing of any use I finally get my first Legendary! - and it's for another class. :angry:
 
After accidentally blowing a load of coins on a helm I didn't want from Xur, I finally have enough for an exotic weapon when he reappears this Friday.

Might just wait until he sells Red Death again though, seeing as assault rifles are being nerfed.
 
Soviet still god knows whats the nerf like. Or what buffs do scouting rifles and hand cannons are getting.
Thats why i am saving my energy for upgrades after nerf hehe.
