Been holding back on levelling up from 27 as didnt want to waste materials on current armour set, think I'll get my backside in to gear and try and get myself up to 28/29, just need to farm some bloody relic iron. Will look for a farming guide for Mars and begin the harvest, ohhhh-arrrrr :D
 
They really need to change the reward system in the crucible. How can somebody finish 2-12 and get a reward yet I get 20 kills and rewarded with nothing :confused:

Doing the mission to get pocket infinity and I have decoded about 20 engrams with none coming up as fusions. Gun seller isn't helping me either.

It's a loot game with RNG, same way I can kill 700 Goblins and get nothing and another guy can kill one and get an exotic.

Yeah in campaign that's fine, but why should people be rewarded for not helping? Plenty of times I've played controls and got 8+ captures and got nothing yet the camper at the back with 0 gets a reward. If they only rewarded team players then it would make the game more enjoyable as most of the people would be trying to capture the flags.

That's why folk are just sticking the game on cruicible and then leaving it and not playing because they still get the loot.

It's not really as simple as that. It's difficult to work out who isn't helping from stats. You say you've got 8+ captures, but then how many times did you actually defend a spot? Similarly someone getting a lot of kills might looks great on paper, but if they aren't helping take and hold points then it's less good. Having a loot system that only gave rewards to those at the top of the points board would unnecessarily punish lower level players new to crucible. In the end the game itself should be it's own reward, I don't remember stopping playing Halo multiplayer because I didn't get rewards. It's just an added bonus to fit in with the rest of the game.

Surely the game is able to see who has been capturing /defending etc....? I don't mind less skilled players being rewarded but when people don't make an effort to help in an objective based mode or just hide in a corner in tdm I don't see why they should be rewarded for it.

This irritates the hell out of me. It's being exploited like crazy as mentioned above, people just going AFK for a whole fight and getting tokens at the end, whereas I can carry my team to victory and get nothing.

Irritates me just talking about it :mad:

That is a separate problem (similar to the no punishment for quitting in anything)

It's really not that difficult, it's why there's a leaderboard in game.

Bungie were just lazy on this one. There is no reason why the person who comes top of the leaderboard can't earn more crucible marks than the person who came 1last. Both can earn 100 in a week, but at least one gets some kind of reward for pulling his weight.

And how exactly would low level players new to the crucible suffer ? Crucible gas level advantages removed so gear doesn't matter as much.

Plus, if they are low level, they can't use high level stuff anyway, higher players have already got rare or legendary armor and level 20 weapons, so how is giving them a reward going to change that.

Let's be honest, you don't mean low level players, you mean those who are crap at pvp and go massively negative. Better loot won't help these players either so it's a pointless argument
 
Typical. First day off in two weeks, got a few beers and some junk food in thinking I could dish out some pain in the crucible and this happens.

Ah well, at least it's not as bad as the BF4 launch.

Might have to find my Planetside 2 shortcut for a while...
 
Xbox is unaffected.

Wonder why Playstation users keep having these issues ? You'd think if it was bungie, xbox would be down to. But other psn titles are fine ?
