So the details of the next weekly hottfix have been posted on the weekly update by bungie

http://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=12295

Top of their list is adding baby bumpers so Atheon can't be pushed off the edge. This will be fixed by Tuesday

They are also raising the base damage of the mythoclast slightly as they made a mistake last week and nerfed it too far. In addition they are pushing the PVE stat of attack (that's removed in PVP) to make it better in PVE without breaking it in PVP

They are going to further nerf the suros regime in an attempt to break I mean balance it for the sake of PVP

They are also apparently never intended for anybody to work out that Atheon teleports the 3 people furthest back. It was supposed to be a secret and we were all supposed to run around like headless chickens and get randomly teleported. Because the community has worked this out they are changing the vault of glass Atheon encounter so It randomly teleports 3 people so no longer will you be able to split your raid party into inside and outside teams.

Still no word on the bad juju buff however. Good to see they have their priorities right

They are slowly killing this game for me. So I can be knocked off the edge but the boss can't.
? Seems fair. Nerf damage in pvp and pve? Seems fair. Can't jump on some ledges cause they want you to be in the middle of the action? Seems fair  how long until they don't like you killing the boss at all and just make him Invincible?

They do so seem rather focused on the crucible and don't seem to acknowledge that breaking guns in PVE because they can't balance them in the crucible is stupid.

Meanwhile in PVE they seem intent on wrecking the experience people have created and bashing everybody into submission of playing it their way and throwing their toys out of their pram while ignoring the positive changes they said they would make to make weapons like bad juju worth while.

With the exception of the scout rifle buff, it's all negative . They are slowly driving a wedge between themselves and the community

I sort of understand the fixes to stop the cheese but how did they not pick it up in testing. The first thing I did when waiting around on the raid was see if I could get to those platorms as it appears a lot of other people did too.

I can't work out the random teleport though, the whole raid is about teamwork! You organise people to where they are needed most. What next, not leave the relic in the middle for someone to pick up and random give it to someone.

That bit about the 3 furthest back getting teleported can't be right. I mean come on. Coding it to teleport 3 people randomly is easier than picking the three at the back so they did that on purpose. There is literally no sane reason for making it work like that unless it was to allow people to split into teams.

The raid is supposed to be about team work yet they are slowly killing off all the choices you have about who does what. That is why you want a mix of classes in the VoG. You suddenly find that all your weakest players are left to defend outside the portal when Atheon is nearly dead and you wipe as a result. Brilliant...

Im I right in thinking that there is actually little point in upgrading loads of weapons as they will all become obsolete once the next expansion pack comes out. Those exotics and legendaries will only be "decent" rather than great.

Theyre also making it difficult to decide which weapons to upgrade as you're not sure which weapon is going to get nerfed with each hotfix. Poor form Bungie, should have spent a little more of the 500 million on playing testing it properly before release...

Honestly if they are making tweaks to fix quite obviously overpowered stuff then thats cool but if they are nerfing special weapons just to make them like all the others that is pointless.

Big thanks to LeeM and Tallunis, finally got Bad Thorn. Shame the lads never parted with a decent engram like!

Horrible, horrible bounty that one. Happy to try and help you lads or anyone else if you want the misery too :D

At the risk of upsetting some of you.. Stop flippin' moaning :p :D

Personally I feel they need to make subtle changes to the game regularly to keep things interesting. If this makes a few aspects worse, so be it. The game is still fun to play for me so you either accept the changes being made and get on with it or whine about it and quit playing.

If they nerf a weapon that I like using, fine, I'll find another I like. If they make a boss fight harder or enemies harder to kill, fine, I'll try harder or find another way of beating it.

I've amassed quite a few exotics now, though the one I want most, Pocket Infinity, still evades me. Not sure if any of this might help anyone, if only to help when selecting an exotic bounty for those applicable.

Looks cool, but have not tried it yet as heard bad things, namely due to low damage and low mag size

Not tried yet as it's 10mins old, courteys of Tallunis and LeeM. Hoping the poison ammo is good for enemy shields.

Now this should be good - full auto shooting and it produces its own ammo. However I just cant seem to get away with it, the range feels very short in real play. Am going toi persevere to its max however as still think it has potential

Too much recoil in it's out of the box state, still prefer a good rocket launcher

My second favourite of all the exotic weapons, the animation of it and the stopping power makes for a great time in PvE

What need I say, my favourite. Most people are using this and it's great fun seeing a 3 man fire team all stood banging out the rounds with that distinctive sound. Self creating ammo is superb for Nightfall and strikes.

Won this lastnight, havent tried it yet. The invisibility perk when scoped sounds good for PvP camping but cannot see it replacing Ice Breaker

It would be nice to get an exotic bounty that I haven't done previously, since the last 5 in a row have been the same 3 that I've already completed and it's getting slightly annoying now.

Tbh with the Crucible, the stupid part is that they seem to not want to acknowledge the imbalance already created by the fact weapon/armour modifiers give a small but noticeable imbalance. Not to mention that while your level is balanced, your class skills unlocked sure as hell does.

PvP is not the level playing field they tried to pass it off as. Not even close. By entering PvP you should be able to select skills from your entire class and all weapon/armour modifiers should be removed.

Anyone fancy trying the Raid or nightfall this evening or help me once I unlock the 26 strike for a epic bounty?

Would be my first time in either. Level 26 Hunter PSN.

I've just started that bounty, at the pvp stage now so should be finished by about Christmas with any luck. I truly suck at the pvp stuff.
