*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I just got kicked from the fire team on VOG near the end after another guy got kicked so that the fire team leader could let one of his friends join, they proceeded to laugh about kicking the guy i told them that was messed and not funny tbh and they proceeded to kick me, Now ive added a fair few people on psn for raids so not sure exactly who it was or if there were from here or not but if its somebody on here that was not. cool

Download the destiny app on your phone, look at the vault of glass stats list and it will tell you all the games youve played in the vault of glass, when and lists the names of the players i the match at the time....

What were their PSN IDs? I wouldn't expect it to be anyone from here, every group I've played with have all been sound. But if they are from here then they should be blacklisted on the Raid thread IMO. No place for that.

Yep. Not good at all!
Well done for pointing out that they were being berks ;)

So got to level 27 as a hunter and already getting the feeling it might become like the rogue class in WoW in that when it comes to raiding spots are limited or overlocked in favour of other talents... obvisously vanish is good for avoiding a wipe or I should say a chance in avoiding but I'm now wondering if I should have gone titan... not feeling the warlock guess i've always just played the hunter/rogue/assassin type in these games...

In reference to the raid in particular, I would rank the classes as Warlock>Titan>Hunter in that order.

Warlocks get to self-revive themselves assuming they have a full super bar when dying. Titans have the bubble. Hunters have the golden gun which is only good in a pinch really!

It's all about praising the sun really!

Warlock self revive, titan shield and smash are easily the most usefull from what i can see. We've had raid checkpoints granted after a wipe due to self revive so that one is an obviously useful ability.

Might not be the case for other raids - everyones useful with decent weapons and knowledge irrelevant what class you are - hell my hunter felt more tough than my titan at simillar levels - think that might be more because Im far more aware as a Hunter and its weakpoints...

ps3ud0

Yep. keep getting kicked randomly. Done the daily mission to near completion 3 times now without ever completing it.

I remember from past games that constant high white dmg was a good reason for having a DPS class in now I cannot compare with other classes as I have only rolled a hunter but those who have had other classes do you notice the hunter kills things quicker or is it marginal I guess Warlocks should have the highest dmg but that would be talent based as oppose to white damage i would guess. I know they have tried to not have a superior class but that never happens when specific talents are allocated to each class. I know that an array of inputs can strongly alter things play style, knowledge, gear etc but as uberginge mentioned it does seem it is Warlock/Titan > Hunter. Hunter should be given some trapping/locking talents... guess things will change. Thought of having more than one char is daunting handling alts has never been a want in my playing always just want the one char.

there are so little times when the striker titan is of use in the raid.

You can't use it against the boss, you don't want to use it on the fanatics as you will get marked, and a lot of the time you don't get high enough concentration of enemies to make it worth your while unless your being overwhelmed.

Defender is ok, but more often than not your bubble just gets in other peoples way.

The best class for raids is by far and away the warlock with its mini atom bomb it can let off.

Just to reopen an old can of worms. I completed VOG twice this weekend, both with complete pick up groups - the second run in a little over an hour. Who was it again who was saying that matchmaking for the raid is ridiculous as it's far too hard to be done with pug's? Absolute nonsense.

It took 7 hours with a PUG I was with yesterday, I wanted to die. People kept dropping in and out and there's always people who know better who are in fact not very well informed at all.

Anyone else would have left I guess, I just frown on people leaving groups and unless my house is on fire or something I will generally stay until completion.

My Hunter is my alt.
He gets whatever I don't want my Warlock to use.

Without much effort, he's now a level 24 - from off-cast and exotic armour.

I'm keeping the Titan class for when I get bored or want a new class before the DLC.

As for damage, I personally feel my Warlock's melee range is way long and powerful. My hunter feels like he can melee quicker but that could just be me.

I commend you, just for commitment alone.

Oh I freely admit that it will be swings and roundabouts. I'm sure for every good run with very few issues there will be some bad ones, I just posted due to the amount of grief there was back when matchmaking for raids/weekly strikes was first mentioned, and people saying it was absolutely impossible that a matchmade raid would work, when it quite clearly would work fine.

Which is based solely on you joining a like minded group of same language individuals and nothing at all like the idea of multilingual randomers who are able to click a mission to start and can drop out at any time with no consequence.
