*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

If anyone could help me with the nightfall tomorrow that would be great, level 27 hunter with bad weapons :(

If you're on in the morning/early afternoon I can run through it with you. If not I may be able to do it at some point at night but probably after 9pm

Are they buffing the Mythoclast as well fixing Atheon today?

I was up till 0430 Monday morning doing the raid where it dropped, slightly disappointed with its performance would be an understatement.

Yes

bungie is a US developer so the patch likely won't be out until this afternoon.

Heroic and nightfall this week is the moon strike. Modifiers aren't the easiest:
Lightswitch
Angry
Arc burn
Epic

Void burn is arguably worse than arc burn, im pretty sure the wizards and knights use arc attacks, so instead of getting one shot by the boss you can get one shot by them instead. I also think thralls melee attacks are arc, so if you were hoping to escape with a sliver of health due to lightswitch, the extra damage modifier will make sure you die. Not a massive fan of angry either as its quite easy to perma stun the boss if you time the shots right but I guess that wont be happening now.

Moon strike nightfalls always seem to be the hardest. On the positive side.....at least you wont need three elemental weapons this time around. Just arc for knight shields and fire for the wizards shields will suffice.

edit: Forgot to mention the modifier on the weekly strike which are angry and epic.

Guess they are cycling the strikes for the weekly. Not sure I fancy trying to solo that one, it's a bit of a pain.

You are correct, Wizards, Knights and the Thralls all use arc. The Boss attack is also arc. I wouldn't like to say it's impossible, but it's certainly very difficult.

I won't be on until about 7PM. But if your happy to try it later let me know.

Still trying to get my rep with Vanguard and FMC to 3. I'm so close its frustrating.

Just done the Weekly and Nightfall with Zhokel. Getting to the boss is actually harder than beating him, as long as you know where to hide from him. The Nightfall trolled me though, giving me 6 coins when the easier Weekly gave me 9.

How did you find the 3 waves room, with the wizards and knights hoarding the room, I dread to think of doing it solo.

The final boss isn't hard as he's not that mobile.

I have nightmares of soloing the Thorn strike mission coming back to haunt me, especially the 3 wizards charging at me in the wave room.

Add in the Arc damage...and I'm expecting similar levels of rage tonight :D

That was the hardest bit but we stayed by the door you come through (not the one you open) and backed out up the stairs when we needed to. It was much easier that way.
