Ended up having one more try on the last boss solo after we disbanded the fireteam.

Managed to kill him being stood behind that rock on the left hand side with a sniper. Just aim & shoot in the space of about a second, and sit back in there. The adds carried on with their barrage of fire but managed to survive it (just about) and get him down!

Did the nightfall with another 29 hunter and a 29 lock a little later. Killing Phogoth was a case of sniping him through a tiny gap in the door way from the room just before you start the boss. Took a while but ended up doing it.

The reward? Ascendant Energy.... -_-
 
Question: Do you get more Exotic bounties other than Bad Juju, Thorn and Invictive?

I'm asking because I've been offered more exotic bounties and the last 3 times it's been offered, they're the same 3 ones! I cannot be bothered doing them again just to level the guns up or even breaking it down.

By the way, Bad Juju as it stands, when leveled up isn't too bad in PvE. I hardly reload now. Thorn with fast reload from armour bonus isn't *that* bad. Still, hoping they bump the stats up more when they patch it.

Yep, there's also:
A Voice in the Wilderness = Super Good Advice (Machine Gun),
An Unknown Patron = Fate of All Fools (Scout),
Shattered Memory Fragment = Pocket Infinity (Fusion Rifle).

edit: not sure how you get Fate of All Fools though, it's the rarest of the lot. Some say it is iron banner only...

There are 5 in total I think. Bad Juju, Invective, Thorn, Super Good Advice, Pocket Infinity. Sure there was another but can't remember it for the life of me.

Bad Juju 'works' against Fallen and Hive so long as you're mostly acting as crowd control, killing trash mobs since you can easily kill them, anything that takes more than 5 bursts to kill its useless. Against Vex its hit n miss. Against Cabal its next to useless. With such ridiculous low Impact and Magazine Capacity its still a terrible exotic.
 
I wonder how or when will I trigger the next set of exotics then.

As for Bad Juju on Vex, it's ok as long as you aim down scope and not use the autofire. Even with stability, auto fire is quite rowdy. That said, I've not tried on Cabal...

Its just random bud. I have all exotic bounties now barring Pocket Infinity - the one I want most. Every single bloody time the exotic bounties come up, guess what isn't there.

I have my 10x purple fusion rifles sat waiting to be sold too :p

Over this week I've had 4 purple fusion rifles. All of them are Light/BEWARE. Of course I already have the Pocket Infinity, so I'm just storing them because having a fairly decent fusion rifle with various elements is always nice :) On the flip side, Nightfall, Weekly and even a Daily all gave me Light/BEWARE. I then got a purple engram from a random mob and that became another Light/BEWARE. Getting slightly sick of seeing that name now :(

Well Vex seem to have very peculiar critical hit spots. Sometimes it just refuses to crit them. Hobgoblins shield damage from pulse rifle bursts easily. Goblins sometimes crouch down to prevent you critting them. Minotaurs can't be criticalled.

Cabal just have too much health. Phalanxes are a nightmare since you need to stagger them first. Legionaries need mostly criticals to kill in 15 bullets. They tend to advance in packs too so by the time you've killed one you'll probably need to hide behind cover where you could've reloaded anyway.

Bad Juju's special just attempts to offset the guns low damage and low clip size. I've got legendary pulse rifles with high damage and high clip size that reload fast enough and deal enough damage normally that the Bad Juju is just a bad choice of Exotic.

Keep wondering whether I shouls buy Light/Beware from Vanguard, but the one I really want is 77 Wizard from the Crucible Gunsmith - just dont play enough PvP though. Hoping I may get a engram drop on that one, unless it's exclusive to PvP rewards mind?

I can't imagine it is, I've had Crucible weapons drop by other means. That's a good fusion rifle too I have it myself, makes VoG so much easier.

Yeah you can get it from random engrams, but it's probably quicker/easier to get from PvP. You don't even have to win to get points, just means you'll be playing a lot of matches to get it. Plus you have to hit level 3 crucible to buy it I think!
 
I got an exotic bounty and finished it today! Yay.

I wish I'd Googled the options first though as I'd randomly picked mine and ended up with a shotgun. However, that will do nicely for crucible.

Lol, all rare/blue items and one exotic on my character.
