Done the daily heroic yet ?

If so get onto destinypublicevents.com and start farming public events. You roll a dice for a chacne to win a shard / energy every time you do one, and thats after you first gold one which guarantees one at the post master.
 
Not done the daily heroic actually, great shout, completely forgot about that!

Then I might be able to carry my weight later with Mr Jones :)

when the beta was talked about people had grand ideas about there being an almost eve online like aspect to the game. The first mission alludes to this as well when you need to get a warp drive to enable your ship to fly.

And then its never talked of ever again and is just your loading screen. No doubt something else that ended up getting cut.

Gamers said stupid things in the beta therefore it must have been cut? Your logic is impeccable.
 
Thanks for the Nightfall run last night Soulja & PJ.

I honestly did not know when I joined your session that you were on the end boss and he would be dead before i even got a shot off.... easiest nightfall ever.

I did feel rather embarrased :o for getting Gjallarhorn as a reward for doing nothing.... next nightfall is on me!
 
I'm glad I only got this on rental. Can't even complete a mission without fly or hare disconnects. Does the game run if I unplug the network?

Don't post on a discussion forum if you don't want discussion. You're seriously suggesting that the game was initially going to be like Eve but then it was cut...

The first mission you get the drive so you can travel off Earth to the Moon, why would they need to bring it up again?
 
My aspirations go down the line of actual new content by the way of new areas (still annoyed about one area per planet) - the concern I have about the expansion is that its perfectly possible to create new story missions in existing places. The problem I have is that doesnt seem to be considerable effort, hell perhaps I expected such adhoc 'challenges' to turn up like public events do. Still wondering why we need 10 bounty slots for - could we be getting multi-step bounties with say legendaries/exotics as rewards?

I knew after the 2 expansions my decision to continue with Destiny will be made - the balls in Bungies court. I have to say they arent a developer I would take another beat for if I saw them as a dev for a new game - Destiny feels like a Ubisoft game sadly in that respect - I considered Bungie far better capable...

We have 5 unique exotic bounties - Im thinking more like something that is a regular offering with multiple-steps and the rewards are random legendaries/exotics either weapons or armour

No real reason to have 10 slots if its literally to hold 10 simple bounties we have already...
