Depends what the armour is and what the other pieces are. If all armour is fully upgraded except for that last shard i think you should be level 29 already...
 
One Exotic Armour piece fully upgrade with 3 legendary non raid pieces fully upgraded should get you to 29.

However to achieve 30 you will need One Exotic and three pieces of Raid.

If I remember correctly.

That's where I am at the moment and have been been for 2-3 weeks now, gets you 3 light below level 30. So you need one exotic plus and three raid pieces or all four raid pieces.

Anyone having an error with an update file when they turn their PS4 on? Last few days its said "Cannot Install" :(

so all legendary maxed out not good enough for 29.........BUM
 
Ok I have reached L24 and I seem to be stuck so need some advice. I understand the idea about earning more gear and such but I seem to have hit an wall. I have been collecting Vanguard points, and have been working to improve my rep but it won't move from 1089.

I have done numerous bounties, three last night than should have increased my rep by 250 but it doesnt go up. Am I doing something wrong?

I am doing the Vanguard Rep bounties.

Please advise...

If you are wearing a faction item e.g. cloak, bond etc. You will gain reputation with them rather than Vanguard or Crucible.

Take the faction item off and you will gain Vanguard rep again.

With coins you can buy an exotic piece from Xur, Vanguard points for the other three armour slots. With the cheaper upgrades you should get to 27.
 
Got my Wlock up to 24 now, just gotta get Vanguard rep to level 2 and then I'll be 27/28 and can play around on both characters now.

Narrly got my AR to 300 damage too which is pretty sweet. Happy days :)
 
After last night's raid i now have an exotic helm and 3 raid pieces of armour and have jumped to level 29. I now need 28 shards and i need to farm 192 spirit bloom :/
 
I am starting to think in the last patch they removed a lot of maps as starting 8th game in a row on mars :(

edit: 9, this is getting beyond funny.
Edit 2: 10th game - Finally another planet!

Hey guys, I'm looking for people who play on PS3 to do some weekly and vanguard strikes. I have a headset and can do most evenings and weekends.

Second raid done. Still no loot. It gave me a legendary cloak, which sucks because I already had the best cloak in the game. After defeating Atheon, it gave me the Chatterwhite shader even though I already have it. So that's two raids done and still nothing to show for it. To rub salt in the wound, one of my teammates got Atheon's Epilogue, another got Gjallerhorn, another got an exotic sniper, and almost everyone got raid armour except me. It was a similar story in my first raid. Starting to think this game has a grudge against me.
