For those that haven't done it before: it should be easy enough but if you can spare 5 minutes sometime today it would help to familiarise yourself with how the Atheon fight works at the end (basically if you get teleported pick up the relic -- if you get relic then kill the mobs and then cleanse others, if you don't get relic then kill oracles and help against mobs when possible. If you don't get teleported stay off the ground and kill supplicants).

Indeed that is a good idea, as I said (if all goes well) I should be on before hand and will be doing strikes or some pvp. As PSN doesn't flash up when someone comes online send me a message or invite.

We can dream, I would love a hardcore pvp mode in destiny or at least a mode like SWAT from Halo.

Did the 2 weeklies with 2 americans and came out with:

Zombie Apocalypse (Machine Gun)
Hex Caster Arc (Auto Rifle Primary)
An Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan Helm)
+9 Coins

All that means I now have the gear to hit lvl 30, and have 57 coins (if Xur ever sells anything I fancy.. not bought anything for the last 2 weeks).

I got trolled with two crappy blue engrams and 6 strange coins :( :(

I have both them guns fully leveled up. That Zombie Apocalypse does excellent damage to high-end baddies, and that Hex Caster Arc is awesomely fast! - Its a bit poo for damage but the amount of bullets it spits out in one second soon compensates for it, you just have to learn to control it.

I've got 60+ Ascendent Shards now (got no armour to level up), and all I needed was energies for a couple of weapons - sods law everything I've played today (daily, weekly etc) only gave me more shards.

I could swear this game just trolls my sorry butt - been Level 29 for like 6 weeks now :(

It isn't you, trolls me too but the opposite. I have 40 something energy but want shards, all I got from last weeks strikes was more energy. The only way I am ranking up is using vanguard and crucible rep to buy armour to break down for shards.

Heres hoping RNG roles right for me this week and strikes give me shards.

Aww man i forgot about that!!
I can buy legendary weapons and dismantle for energies. Dang it! every time i get 65marks i automatically run, buy a chest piece and dismantle it lol. Force of habit i guess.

Dismantled my raid sniper rifle earlier today doh

Only need 65 for armour. 150 for a weapon is way too much to invest time in.
Guess itts public events and daily for me now that ive already done the nightfall and weekly.

It's all down to the luck of the draw.
You however have some serious unluck to get 4 of the same.

If one isn't getting the luck, perhaps you can try with another character / make another of the same class, so you can double up your chance?
