Why two warlocks? I've just started a Titan to grind through the story again, after getting the hunter to 29 and a warlock to 24 (although none of the armour it has is upgraded). Shame there isn't an easier way to level up.

Why two warlocks?

Its easier to swap over duplicate armour, especially during the raid. Means an easy'ish lvl29/30 and gives me double chances of nightfall, raid etc.

Sort of ruins the experience mind, I'll acknowledge that already. May yet delete once I get boots.

With two of the same class you can swap armour so you can do the nightfall, weekly and raid twice a week without needing additional gear.

Yeah I never got the need to have duplicate characters until you get to raid where people will do anything in their power to maximise getting the raid armour (its always the last piece that takes forever). If I didnt have all my slots full with the 3 character classes I might have done the same...

I though if Warlock is my fave class, then its not just useful for this raid but for many more raids/special events to come.

Kudos for having three different classes :)

I dont think its kudos just didnt really think more about it, and the way I bemoan about the Hunter/Titan sometimes in chat its obvious I prefer the Warlock.

One thing I am glad about is that having those other classes made me far less dependent on things like Fireborn - its a crux thats hard to grow out of and really makes leveling up a different class extra annoying ('what do you mean...when Im dead Im actually dead?!?')...

Titan I do tend to like, it seems the class that has the most obvious roles for its subclasses and seems to get good quickly on its skill tree. Hunter, well, I respect people that main that in PvE, its disgusting at PvP and I hate all you bladedancers :p

This week however I got the Hard Light Exotic Auto Rifle :D (much to martin's annoyance lol)

Hard light seems kinda meh when compared to Suros.
I got it from nightfall this week too, but cba to level it up when I have a 300 atk Suros.
Really want to level up my vanguard pulse rifle actually. Feel like mixing it up a bit.

RNG drops really owned me in this game, it's really not fun at all like this.
I did VoG on normal a total of 7 times (2 times without killing atheon) before getting my FIRST raid armor drop. Really annoying to see some lucky others pick up 2 pieces of raid armor off their 1st run.

I have literally no hope of hitting level 30 before the expansion hits, so level 29 will have to do. Haven't bought expansion yet. Still undecided. There's a tonne of stuff I hate about this game, but the gunplay is really nice so I drop back in every now and then to clear the raid once a week.

Lack of reward from playing is a big problem though, similar to Diablo 3 vanilla on release. I'm not asking for ez epix, but if I invest time in doing the raid every week, I don't expect to see some raid newbie outgear me after his first run, when I started doing the raid 6 weeks before them... A token reward system would be much better than this RNG nonsense.

Yea it was a challenge! I feel a bit more confident with what to do with the relic now.

Id love to finish it tonight but im not sure if I can be on much :( il find out when I get in and post in here.

Don't worry. We can play it by ear. I will be online from around 8:30 for the raid (I will be on before but I am going to re-do the NF on my other characters). If you are available feel free to send me a message or join the fireteam.

I am quite glad that my second character is a hunter and my third Warlock whilst running at level 29 only has half the class perks unlocked. It makes me not rely on Fireborn quite so much (although it is damn useful).

The only other exotic I'd really like is the mythoclast and Gjallarhorn. (Martin has both of these however so its swings and roundabouts)

Haha, I'm glad you got something nice from a Nightfall! I just really want Hard Light, one of the exotics I've been after for ages.

I did my nightfall and got a 4th Suros Regime. Happy days.

Also I have two Mythoclast's ;)

Thanks to Dredd and Jacko for the carry through on Earth and (most of) Moon with my lowly hunter.

Looking forward to getting back online late tonight and tomorrow to grind rest of story, again, open invite to all.... :D

Its killing me being a low level.... Took about 3-4 hours to get to level 9... Pure weakling... Guns are as powerful as a spud gun :(

For me, this is turning into the week of way too many shotguns. Invective I got recently, and have been loving it. Yesterday, I got Universal Remote from the Nightfall strike, today I got given The Comedian for free for gaining Vanguard rep, and just picked up Found Verdict from the raid. So yeah. Universal Remote goes in a primary weapon slot, so I can have two shotguns equipped at the same time. Not sure if that's tactically useful in any way, but it makes me smile to think of it.

Just did my first Raid, it was pretty good fun. It took us 2hrs but that was with three newbies (me included!) and three experienced ppl, so there was quite a bit of explanation of what to do. The run through to aetheon went really quickly but it must've taken us about 20 wipes to finally get him down! Anyway, loads of shards and energies but my main reward...? A bloody legendary shader! Oh well, maybe something better next time! :)

yea get use to seeing that Chatterwhite lol, done 5 now and ended up with 4x Atheon Epilogues, 1x Found Verdict (shottie) 1x Hawkmoon, 1x cloak and a boatload of chatterwhite. Would really like some armour this weekend but am not that lucky :(

I did a few hard raids with another clan that I found off of destinylfg, managed to do two runs in just over 2 hours. Still don't have a mythocast but I do have the Vision of Confluence(after 21 raid clears) and I picked up some gauntlets for my Titan. After I level them up I will be lv30 on all 3 characters.

It's a shame the scout rifle, the gauntlets and the chest piece I haven't upgraded yet all require spinmetal......

Well, last night's Hard Mode Raid was smooth as a newborn's bottom.

Apart from me dying when I turned round to a couple of supplicants, the group managed to continue without me and finished Atheon on the final bout with only 4 guardians. Was pretty much speculating and wow, that was smooth tactically and bug-less, despite 4 times visit to Venus.

Looks like I need to train my titan defender to use the suppressor grenades. Totally held the ground with pretaurians!
