*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Do the first Mars mission, Exclusion Zone, with Heroic modifier set. At the very beginning of the mission, you get Ghost to open a door and two Cabal dropships come in with enemies. Just before they start attacking, activate a Resupply Code. Kill everyone from the first dropship and all but one Phalanx from the second. Let the last Phalanx kill you (harder than it sounds!). You'll respawn just as the doors are opening. Rinse and repeat.

You won't get much from the first dropship, but the second lot are all Majors, so you'll clear about 600 glimmer each time. It takes about 2 minutes per run, so you should get 3000+ glimmer per Resupply Code (10 minute cooldown). You'll also pick up a pile of Network Keys which you can sell to the Cryptarch. In one 30 minute run, I sold 12 for a total of 2400. In total, I made about 12K in half an hour.

This is also the best way to get the 10 Cabal majors bounty.

You can honestly spend as long dancing with the last guy, trying to get him to kill you as it took to kill all his buddies! I try to line myself up against a rock as his power melee attack will kill you if he hits you into a rock. If you can grenade yourself though, that's the way to go. Even my grenade wasn't enough to kill me!

Not sure which is more painful being killed or waiting to be killed when you want to be... them things love running behind cover though dont they... anything that can be jumped off in that area. Well i'll be there tonight. I temp left OCuK to help some mates get the trophy for full clan run came back but now clan to full ha ha. Damn.

Soooo... phogoth today? Lol

Also... arc and void burns i reckon. Just to make life annoying.

I'm holding onto the vain hope that it might be a solar burn. I very much doubt it. I think best alternative case would be no burn or just void (considering only Phogoth and IIRC Acolytes fire void).

Arc AND void though..... URGH.

As a warm up we managed to beat the Nightfall last night with a level 29, 27 (me) and 26. The hardest part was the waves at the beginning when the Dregs decide to hide at the far end.

I got a duplicate of Truth whilst the level 26 received 10 strange coins.

Assisting on a seperate run through for fusion rifle kills my level 30 Warlock felt like a tank.

Yeah solar burn would be great for those wizards that come in during the (certainly not overused) dinklebot 3 wave door sequence, just ice break them in the face... winner!

I kinda want this one to be absolutely brutal though, been solo'ing them pretty easily lately so could do with the challenge before doing level 32 raid :D

They should The Summoning Pits with a one way burn on, so all enemies do 3x but we only do the normal amount. All three burns just for a laugh, and Angry, Epic, Light Switch and all the others.

Send them home crying!

What you need is Arc burn and so you can Striker smash your way through :p

:D

I'm a firm warlock convert now though, dont like titan anymore.

Oh hell yes, user selectable modifiers that increase loot drop scale for each one added. :D
The summoning pits

Epic
Juggler
Void burn

:D Nice little warmup before tonight's raid

:( void burn is lame. Only phogoth dishes it out so it's gonna be so easy. Such a shame.

The High 5 of death...

*High5!*

Just thought - Nova bomb time on my Warlock..... :D

Or do I play it safe with self revive.... hmm

Don't rely on the self revival, other class don't have it, so it's more of a challenge :)

Also, don't do what I did the last time it was Void Damage... drop a nova bomb whilst in mid-air, only to hit some random hanging crap draping down from the roof and die from my own Super! (It was that Nexus Strike, in the room with the 3 Floating balls)

I don't rely on it but honestly on the NF if I have to choose between a bit less damage or not dropping to orbit at the final boss I will take the former.

I hate hitting random objects with my Nova Bomb. I did this many times in the IB when I kept forgetting that your character jumps as part of the super..... :o
