Got to rank 4 last night and got my stuff. Now I just have the mind numbing task of farming helium filaments. Managed to get 40 last night, but still....lawd
 
I was up to 2am to get the boots and gauntlets as I only found out Iron Banner had started on Sunday afternoon - damn you GTA V!!!

Don't know why I bothered as I don't have any level 30 chest armour. :/
 
I managed to get the boots n gloves from IB but I've not done the raid yet so I'm stuffed.

I wanna do the raid but everyones experienced at it now and doubt anyone would wanna drag a noob along.

I'm sure the usual group that runs won't mind carrying one through it so he / she can learn the ropes. Obviously do the Normal runs only and ask questions during the raid so you understand whats going on don't be afraid to try the relic - you can only learn by trying.

Post in the raid thread on here and someone will take you along.

I've only run it twice and both times people from this forum looked after me.

The first time you wont have a clue whats going on but by the end of the second run you should have it down. ;)

Thanks guys, I'll do that and yes I'll definitely be up for a go at the weekend, just let me know and I'll be on or add me to the list.

I'm level 29 titan at the minute and just need a chest piece (to go with the IB kit) to get to lvl30.

As others have said post in the raid discussion thread and you will find a group that will be happy to take you through it.

I have only done it twice (feels like a lot more than that due to the wipes the first time) but I would be more than happy to show you the ropes.

Honestly most of the raid is shoot stuff and try not to die (30s respawn timer on normal, no respawns at all on hard). Follow the leader in the Gorgons and take your time on the jump puzzle. At Aetheon / Gatekeepers let someone else handle the relic if you get teleported (just remember to shoot the Oracles). Once the relic holder returns hit Aetheon with whatever you have available (follow where everyone else goes at this point).

:confused: so I had to abort that attempt, just didn't have enough solar damage to take down the wizards shields, not when the 3 of them spawn and as soon as you deplete one's shield it runs away and leaves the other 2 going at you aggressively.

Will finish my bounties later which should get gjallarhorn wolf pack unlocked and let em have it.

I will be on before the raid giving that a go. I have Icebreaker for the Wizards and Praedyths revenge for everything else. :)

Should be on around 7 or so.
 
Cool, I'll add you later if you fancy running it. Epilogue only needs a clip to take down yellow wizards once the shield is gone. I like to get NF out the way early for the XP bonus.

Yeah that sounds good.

I don't have a Void primary* but I have Truth for Phogoth himself. I usually hit him from the doorway and then retreat back inside. On normal strikes I would play it properly but on the Nightfall with the risk of going back to orbit.....

*I do have a 300 Attack Suros / Scout rifle & a 283 Attack MIDA.
