I've been waiting for xur to sell an exotic warlock helmet, now he's selling one I'm wondering if i should bother buying it so close to dlc? As I'll only have to trade it in again for a higher level one next week?

edit: Damn it, turns out I've already got the helmet for my Titan! haha! Looks like I'll be buying telemetries and ammo then. Also, where the heck is the engram now? Has Xur stopped doing it using Mote?

Lame. Didn't he sell Plan C last week? Also where's the exotic engram? I've got about a million motes of light and don't just want to be able to get titan marks from the speaker with them.

Ah well, I suppose it means I'm not tempted to spend my coins on anything and will save them for next week when hopefully he might have one or two of the new exotics.

Just occured to me if, after the DLC drops, we have to swap our exotics with Xur then the dlc will come out Tuesday but no weapons can be swapped for the more powerful ones until Friday.

That thought crossed my mind but I am going to get it anyway as details still seem unclear on exactly what level anguard armour will get you to after the DLC. So I figure:
- Don't know when Xur will next sell an exotic warlock helmet
- If DLC VG armour doesn't get you to 30 you will kick yourself. If it does then you are 30 anyway
- If it turns out useless after Tuesday then its only strange coins, they aren't hard to earn and most people have stupid amounts of them.

So to me seems there is only positives or neutrals but no negatives to getting the helmet :) This is all assuming one doesn't drop in VoG for me tonight, which knowing I need VoG boots means I will get a helmet :(
 
Xur is rubbish this week. Ended up buying 7 exotic shards, 1 hand canon telemetry, and 50 heavy ammo packs. Still got 58 coins left for next week, when hopefully he'll have one of the new exotics for sale.

Pretty poor show! will buy some heavy synth and a couple of exotic shards.

Did read yesterday that any exotics dropped after the patch will be of the higher attack/defence values and that includes anything sold by Xur.

If anyone has any exotic bounties, complete them but don't turn them in. Wait until after the patch and you'll get the new version :)

Wonder if they've took the engram off this weekend to prevent people buying a few and saving them for after the patch?
 
On a positive note, when I do get my hands on Gjallarhorn & Icebreaker they'll be the higher rated versions.

Gonna try and get Atheon done three times on hard tonight, see if any exotics drop.
 
I guess the fact that any exotic drops after Tuesday will be the higher attack versions gives the VoG extra life, considering there are 2 chances for exotic weapons to drop.
 
I just had a thought.

If Xur is selling 6 weapons and armour weekly from next week, are they each individually RNG or RNG for all 6? Can you imagine a jackpot of 6 of the same items in one weekend? (Statistically probable but very unlikely, if it's RNG individually)

Hopefully they've thought of that haha!

I just want him to offer Heart of the Praxic Fire upgrade before he's sold the item. I imagine he'll troll me with Hard Light upgrades as well :(
