It took me ages to get Husk of the Pit to drop. Only just got it last weekend. Since then, without trying to get it at all, I now have 4!
Upgraded one to Eidolan Ally but I can't see me using it much.

I had EXACTLY the same experience - I had to run the Fist of Crota? bit to the blade dude exactly 47 times before it dropped. Shortly after I've had 4 drop just by killing the blades of crota on earth.

I swear this game trolls me.
 
How often does the gunsmith stock change?

I finally got another exotic bounty and the only gun I wanted from it was the fusion rifle. Now I need to get rare or higher fusion rifles.
Quite a good weekend finally, I got the last word hand cannon and an exotic bounty.

I think it's every 3 hours, if you go to the gunsmith there is a timer telling you when the next restock is.
I remember doing that bounty, getting the 10 fusions was a pita tbh

Oh great..... to be fair it was the only one that seemed remotely useful to me as I don't have a decent fusion rifle still.
was it just getting the fusion rifles that took so long? I'm running three characters through the strike playlists so will hopefully get a few as drops if gunsmith doesn't sell them.
 
Not to be underestimated the sunsinger melee overshield is a lifesaver in PvE. Void walker is definitely great in PvP but it's also very good in PvE up to Nightfall/Raid level where the SS self res can't be beat.

Got my alt warlock up to 16....want to get one last cheese run on CE before the fix.

I got that exact weapon from that exact chest last week. I have two now but I think I'll only upgrade one and leave the other as it is so I can have a mix of the two different fire-rates.
 
RNG finally being good to me...levelled another warlock up to get as much stuff from CE as poss before patch. Soloed lamps and bridge, every drop shards, just what I wanted :) Only 10 more and a warlock helm from Xur and I'll be 32....so maybe by house of wolves....

Does mean I have another go at cheesing crota..and also speed run chest CP which I *still* haven't managed to solo....
 
It is only helmet I am after to as everything else is maxxed CE armour. Hopefully Xur will sell one or one will drop in CE for me as I have 12 shards left to put towards the upgrades.
 
I've got all the gear I need, but still need 16 shards. Managed to get 20 this week across 2 characters so hopefully I can get 16 after the reset.
 
try having all new raid gear on 3 guardians :( i need 189 not including the helmets as i have exotics on them, i have enough for one and am thinking the warlock is going to be first
