Just completed NF and weekly with AStaley and a guy from LFG. Good runs on both, but boy does the NF with no burn take a while to complete! Now on to Iron Banner.

Aye two good runs, thanks again. Didn't get anything useful this time. That strike was evil before NF, now it's just a test of patience.
 
Done the NF twice, soul destroying. First time had the Suros Regime which I wanted.

The 2nd I had 12 ascended energy, my friend had 11 strange coin and the poor random who we invited had 6 ascended shards.
 
Top Tip for the nightfall - run into the room at the back (go under omnigul and head to the right and jump up) and let the person with the crappest guns or a titan with titan bubble stand in corner and be medic.

The other 2, one needs to be running abyss with disorient hive perk, the other needs to have arc weapons to lower her shield.

Keep hitting her with abyss and she does nothing moves about like a **** but doesn't shoot, meaning you guys can just stand there and shoot until you run out of ammo without any fear of dying.

Same goes for the wizards.

That way you can beat her in a tenth of the time.

If you do run out of ammo, let her kill you, when revived you start with primary ammo.
 
Got to ask but who the heck is Spooky Willow and why send a pic of your new niece/nephew over PSN messaging to like 80 odd people?!?

Presume hes a OcUK Destiny player...

Sick day today. Have had a bad run of squeakers....resorted to adding a note to LFG saying adults only.

One more CE run to do. Had nothing but rubbish, still no vex! A few months ago I would have been happy with the ice breaker from VoG chest but meh.
 
Had 3 exotics yesterday out of VOG maze checkpoint and Nightfall on 2 characters so 3 drops out of a potential 4.

2 of them for a Titan (which I don't have so sharded one but kept ruin wings just in case) and hawkmoon (which I already have).

Still got Atheon x 2 to do and CE HM x 2 so another 6 potential exotics, feels as if my luck is in this week for the jellyhorn
 
Did the NF twice last night which wasn't difficult just seriously dull. Lucky Raspberry (Which I already have) and Another NITC (I also already have). Can't quite gather the motivation to run the weekly for another few days.
 
Destiny has a habit of just giving you enough to keep interested. Did CE on my warlock as swordbearer which was fun and got the helmet at last, and did second nightfall for another Monte Carlo. One full VoG NM and two Atheon HM weren't much use. Still no vex :( lots more Time breakers though!

The nightfall tip of sitting in the cheese room and hitting her with Abyss Defiant is good btw, makes it much less painful.

I did remember how much more fun VoG is though, especially Atheon fight. Crota I quite like now if I take the sword mind. Anyone up for VoG runs next week?

That gun was made for that strike. I'm surprised nobody really mentions that ability.

It basically nullified her and the wizards completely leaving the other guys to rotate and smash with rockets
 
so is this MP only? I was just playing through (level 3 , woohoo) and there was some level 23 plum running round my mission killing all the mobs! is there any way of making it a private game, at least while you do the main story?

There are public and private areas, they merge fairly seamlessly while you are on missions. If you stand near the person doing all the killing then it attributes you to those kills too, so sponge away.
 
Well, haven't played Destiny since November. I've just reinstalled and plan on getting back on the wagon from the weekend on.

Just deciding how to control my addiction this time, I have a 30 Warlock, 30 Hunter and 29 Titan standing by. I'm seriously considering deleting two and focusing on just one character, to limit how much I play.

I got out of control last time and took it far too serious, especially with me being on the sick from work. I'm on the sick again from next Thursday onwards to recover from surgery. This time I'm back for the good banter, which I missed dearly...and maybe find that bloody elusive Gallajhorn....and Titan helmet....and....and....and....

See you all soon. Looking forward to trying out Crota, stopped playing before it was released so have some catching up to do.

Just to add you can tell which is which as the game gives you a visual clue.

When you enter the "darkness zones" where "respawning is restricted" these are the private areas. Its where the serious action takes place.

The mobs in the public areas aren't part of the mission, those mobs are there in the patrol mode too. Once you kill them, hang around enough and you'll discover they just respawn so in the end you just end up ignoring them and moving onto the meat of the mission.

Be good to see you back online. The crota raid drops are a bit better than vog so should be leveled up in no time.

This week is the first week ever I've got 3 exotics from 3 nightfalls! Normally get 1 Exotic max between my 3 characters. Shame i already had 2 of them.

Got Hawkmoon, truth and icebreaker. Dismantled truth and icebreaker for shards.
