Just made it to level 27, ran through quite a few ROC strikes but all the bloody engrams decrypted to rustburner arm pieces... I'm three coins short for red death, if anyone is running the nightfall/level 30 strike please let me know

Davie(and some numbers [Scottish fella]) Has agreed to take me through VoG, I would like to go through both Normal and Hard (I want that Vex Mythoclast).

If I've read online correctly, this is the easiest Exotic to earn? What others are "easy"? I'd like to be able to use some variety :p

Currently running around with Murmur and damn, it's fun :D
 
@valkynaz a good way to farm vanguard marks is as follows

Go to any patrol mission and press the touch pad to look at the 3-4 mini missions available. If you have any with a star in a circle (looks a bit like a football these are high priority target missions) do them, if not sparrow to another area and repeat. On earth if you fly between the starting area, the divide and rocket yard doing this and just go back to orbit and repeat at the end you will farm marks very quickly as these missions are worth more than double the marks.

Alternately farm public events using a site like http://destinypublicevents.com/ to get the times for the patrol and area you are on

Patrol missions don't give Vanguard Marks, only experience (10 for normal, 25 for VIP kills). Public Events do give Vanguard Marks; 4 each (plus 2 each day for completing the first one and opening the package at the Postmaster)

Nobody really runs normal but your probably better off been shown what to do on normal so you can adapt to hard.

When are you doing it I can lend a hand if I'm free then?

If your after the Vex though you should only be running hard mode, it doesn't drop on normal iirc.
 
Woot, just got through the LV30 weekly, 1 strange coin away from red death, will just spam some more runs tonight and hope I get one.

Woot got my last coin, Red Death secured.

Yep, Ive come to that realisation myself as well. Was 12 coins away from Red Death and was no way I could grind that amount of coins in a day or so. Just going to have to level up my 2nd char asap, and then do the same with a 3rd I think. Its the only way to get anywhere near enough coins on a weekly basis.
 
Had a pleasant surprise last night, handed in a Crucible Bounty and got a blue blueprint for a new ship. Went a handed it in the Ship-Wright and got a pretty epic looking "Crypt Hammer". Was nice :)
 
Woo! Finally unlocked the level 30 missions. Still not level 30 yet though :( Wouldn't mind doing VoG on normal to learn hard-mode later. Also, Crota would be nice to do :p
