*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Really odd glitch last night when Anti & I were messing about attempting to duo cheese the bridge on CE HM. Whenever I fired my G'horn at the SB I saw no Wolfpack rounds hit. His health only went down by as much as a single "normal" rocket hitting as well.

A few seconds later (10-15 seconds at a guess) when peppering him with our primaries his health suddenly plummeted like it had been hit by a rocket....

I think my WP rounds had gone to the pub in between...

All the rolls on Xur's gear this week are pretty terrible:

Armamentarium
Xur: 114 Discipline
Mine: 135 Discipline

ATS/8 Arachnid
Xur: 66 Discipline (Is this correct? Is there nothing on Strength as well)
Mine: 65 Discipline | 66 Strength (non-upgraded)

Starfire Protocol
Xur: 133 Intellect
Mine: 160 Intellect

The Armamentarium roll is beyond terrible. Mine is 167 and it was bought from Xur !

I don't know if it will be enough to tempt me back I just hope it's a proper team raid rather than CE which allows people to easily solo the first couple of parts and then you all stand about at the end firing rockets whilst one guy does all the hard work.

Agreed, quite enjoy playing against the fallen but we'll probably feel the same towards them as thralls now, having killed about a million of them.

Looking forward to it and will be back on it for sure.

No new raid :O

House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn't make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year. House of Wolves will have a new cooperative end game activity focused on variety, replayability, and skill – a new battle Arena called The Prison of Elders.

More to the point.. With no real use for it after a few weeks of playtime.. It renders the upgrade pointless.. Other than to say you have it.

Not a happy Parsnip here!!

Haha no raid... that sucks but we'll see what they introduce before judging too harshly. My feeling is that it will be even less content than TDB :(

Fatebringer is good because of its perks, not its stats. Making it 22% stronger will hardly be game changing.

It will be higher than that in real terms, up to 30% going from the 300 to the 365 damage variant. Whether or not that makes much difference depends on how much health the weak and mid health enemies have. Going from 2 to 1 shotting something is about as game changing as its going to get for a handcannon but that's a pretty big deal.

Its the same reason I use a hawkmoon/timurs lash throughout the Templar section of VoG HM, they're the only primaries with a high enough impact to one shot the goblins. I've all but stopped using fatebringer now so getting it to 365 would certainly give it a new lease of life for me.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about the upcoming content. I played ME3 MP to death and that had a selection of small maps with a variety of objective waves and difficulties. Maybe they will try something in a similar style with destiny.

Fatebringer one-shots those goblins if you have explosive rounds on. Only downside is it sometimes doesn't activate the Outlaw reload bonus.

I stand corrected then, I've never used Fatebringer with explosive rounds in VoG. Every ime I have used it precision hits with explosive rounds didn't do additional damage, they just split the damage up. The bonus precision damage must only apply to specific enemies.

Interesting....I would happily trade weekly raid runs for a more progressive system to get the new light level. A combination of trials PvP and this new co-op (maybe horde style increasing difficulty?) would be a fresh change.

Actually, key word variability, that'll be a big change, instead of knowing exactly where and when every spawn in every scenario will be.

Obviously it's not just Fatebringer that can be upgrade, from that it is at least all legendary raid weapons, most likely armour. Definitely going to keep running VoG for armour if that can be upgraded to 40 light.

Well, that's another month of barely touching Destiny for me then.

Not a bad thing as HoW, even without Raid, maybe a different approach to levelling and gearing up. Great to see Fatebringer and Praedyth's Revenge gets a damage increase :D
