*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Per week you can do:

100 vanguard marks (strikes/public events)
100 crucible marks (crucible)
Vault of Glass Normal
Vault of Glass Hard
Crota's End Normal
Crota's End Hard
Nightfall Strike
Weekly Heroic Strike (3 levels)
7x Daily Heroic Mission
7x Daily public event bonus
35 vanguard bounties
35 crucible bounties
21-25 ish Eris Morn bounties

It's quite a lot of stuff :) This is all per character, once you have multiple chars the limits aren't really an issue, even if you play a lot.

Not forgetting the faction and cryptarch rep bonus packages...

I had a very strong feeling this week would be Omnigul. It's the last week where the Dark Below is the latest DLC, so it made sense they'd have Omnigul again to send it off. Just a shame it doesn't have rainbow burn like it did two weeks ago. Arc burn is still easy enough as long as all 3 of you don't stand together and get wasted at once.

I think I have done the strike that way once and hated it..

I tend to just stick in the entrance hall and if possible have a Titan drop a bubble on the right dooryway (thus meanng the team only has to focus on fire from one direction).

Thunderlord will drop her quick enough..

Don't know if I can be bothered with the weekly though.

hit her with the abyss defiant when her shield is down and she turns into a ****.

ideally you need 1 guy using that and the others using whatever arc weapon they can for shield and burn.

using that method from wherever is best

Per week you can do:

Well, when you list it like that there is plenty to do!

I'm going to have to read up on the wiki though, there is so much that I still don't understand and it doesn't seem to be explained to you in game. Like what void damage, kinect damage, etc. is nor what heroic modifier and all those others are.

Kinetic damage = normal bullet damage, works fine for enemies without shields, with shields takes a lot of bullets to destroy the shield.

Shields = Void (purple), arc (Blue) and solar (red). Use weapons of the same burn to destroy them quicker.

The modifiers tell you what they are if you hover over them in orbit or on the screen at the bottom right (I think) if you pull out your ghost in game.

I feel a bit of a dilbert, I thought HOW was out today, oh well another week to max out some marks etc. :P

Creased!

Out of curiosity.. What are people going to ascend first?

I'm guessing it might be more limited than people expect and drop rates for the light stuff might be crux like.. So I'm going with Thorn for IB then elemental damage primaries that I use most often first first.. Then Gally.

If my understanding is right, then exotics just need exotic shards to upgrade. So I'll do Gjally, IB, Vex, Hawkmoon, and Ruin Wings for titan. Then whichever legendary pieces I fancy once the etheric light starts to drop, I've got a range of Dead Orbit/New Monarchy/VoG/CE gear ready to ascend.

Vex Myth, IB, 3x GH, Thorn, *placeholder for Hawkmoon...*, Suros & every piece of exotic armour I use.

Currently pegged at 25,000 glimmer with nothing to upgrade (Hawkmoon?!) and my vault is starting to fill with the 200 glimmer drop things.

I have enough exotic shards for around 75% of my exotics. Not sure if I will ascend all my duplicates (IB & G/horn) or focus on individual weapons / armour first. A lot of the exotics I have are fully upgraded but I don't use them (Monte Carlo / Hard Light / Patience & time etc).

Non Exotic will be armour first then Fatebringer / VoC.

I think for everyone it will be a juggling act between light level and weapon attack rating. Possibly better to be level 34 with a 300 Fatebringer than 32.5 with a 365 Fatebringer..

Gjallarhorn, then Gjallarhorn, then my final Gjallarhorn :D

Seriously though, I'll start with Gjallarhorn and go from there. I'll see what the PoE armour piece is, and I'll ascend either an exotic helmet or chest piece for each of my 3 characters. Then I'll see what the Nightfall burn is and ascend an exotic weapon or two of the right elemental damage type to run it. After that, my PvP weapons like Hawkmoon and Thorn will get done so I'm ready for Trials at the weekend. Thankfully I'm sat on around 30 exotic shards (with at least another 10 sat in the vault in the form of duplicate weapons) so I can ascend plenty of exotic gear, as long as I have the glimmer!

For level 34 Prison of Elders, and Trials of Osiris it'll definitely be better to be level 34 with a lower attack weapon. If you're only going to stick to level 32 content then you may as well upgrade your weapons first. Personally I'll be looking to get to 34 on all 3 characters before I upgrade any of my legendary weapons, though I may upgrade one of my Fatebringers to 365 pretty quickly.
