I've been thinking about scrapping my duplicate exotics, even Gjallarhorn, simply because the Loadout app I use on iOS makes swapping weapons around so simple. Not sure I can bring myself to shard 2 Gjallarhorns though!
 
Since the app item switching appeared I've sharded all my duplicates, no need any more. I have kept a spare Fatebringer or two though ;)

Remember all your crucible/vanguard commendations can be traded in for +250 rep so cha-ching on the faction packages :)

Agree with this, I have enough shards to upgrade my exotic weapons/armour (well at least the ones I use :p) But will then be going for armour first then VoG/IB weapons.

I look at Crota HM to see how 300's still hold there own against 331. So 331 vs 365 doesn't seem that big a difference in the 34 PoE (lvl 35 might be a different matter), but it would seem to be enough to get you going towards all the upgrades, and who know might get some light drop in the nightfall as well :D

Other than that, hope and pray you get a exotic drop in PvP (normally being the naffest player on the team helps... although that maybe changing so you have to be the second naffest..) :D
 
Exotics can come from a few places....here's a list with my approximate drop rates (not scientific at all)

Nightfall strike rewards (good chance 50% ish)
Roc strike rewards (v small chance 1%ish)
Crucible rewards (v small chance 1%ish)
Vault of Glass gorgon's maze chest (small chance 10-20% ish?)
Vault of Glass Atheon (small chance 10%?)
Crota's End Deathsinger (small chance 10%)
Crota's End Crota (small chance 10%)
Xur (100%!)
Cryptarch - from handing in legendary engrams (small chance 5%?)
 
To be fair I haven't actually had that many duplicates of guns I don't care about (plan C... eurgh). Mind you the game seems quite happy to give me Monte Carlo's like they are on fire sale... WHERE IS MY HAWKMOON DAMMIT :mad:

I currently have 3 Suros, 2 Hard Light, 2 Universal Remotes, 2 4th Horseman, 3 Icebreakers, 3 Gjallarhorns, 2 Thunderlords and 2 Dragon's Breath. Also have 2 Fatebringers and 3 Black Hammers I was intending on keeping. With all the new weapons about to come out I think vault space is going to be a real issue if I don't shard some stuff.
 
Anyone got a list of what the new 'raid'/exotic weapons/armour is for this release? gotta catch them all :p

Only duplicates I have is an non-upgraded Suros and all the raid primaries because of their burns. Dark Below made me stop being sentimental about stuff...

I havnt got the other expansion yet so what is the best way to go about it, Still get the season pass and how will tht work once the new expasnsion is out lol.

Now have 36 exotic shards lol
 
Hopefully youve got a second Vex? Primaries with Burn IMHO are worth having duplicates around and the neutered Vex is still damn good when you have the ammo...
