*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Yeah it's a speed and durability upgrade as well. Not as fast as Timebreaker though.

Orange vanguard sparrow + red drive + feedback fence + vanguard helm with orange visor + hanged man shader looks badass on my titan :)

Fatebringer wouldnt get you out of an VoG bubble either without a reload. Its never been a good gun for that. Use Shotguns or Ice Breaker for that...

Have to agree here, the bubble health is fine. Having any less health would remove any kind of urgency to get the goblin buff but its still not strong enough to withstand a pummelling from special/heavy weapon fire.

Handcannons have always been **** at anything other than killing trash in PvE, their base dps has never been good.

I was referring to too much health to be removed just by shooting at it.

As you've both hinted at, they just need a specific strategy for getting out of them. Simply shooting whatever weapon you have in your hand (as works in VOG) isn't enough.

Genuinely the Fatebringer wasnt useful with the VoG shields, I used to use it all the time and would always swap to my special as it would take a reload to down them.

I would not be surprised if those shields in the level 34 PoE are just 34 versions of the 32 shields in VoG, in other words, they have scaled just like your weapon has - theres nothing relatively different in how you destroy them - its just that the Fatebringer always has sucked for that particular application...

There already is though, team member kills the goblin for the buff to break out faster and then breaks the other two out as well. It's a simple mechanic but hard to execute as there are so many ads that spawn that will quickly overrun the team.

Or as happened to us a few times the Goblin either refused to spawn (we couldn't see it at all) or hangs around near the boss in a line of fire that guarantees a wipe.

I would have much rather they re-used the Templar mechanic (replace relic super with Goblin kill) for this fight but kept the shield strength as it is (and even kept the health drain mechanic albeit at a reduced rate).

That would have made the fight more fun / interesting as you HAVE to hunt and kill the Goblin to be able to finish the fight at all. The stand in the doorway burn with Gjally method also wouldn't work as his "shield" would be back up before we get too many rockets off. Of course they used an iteration of this mechanic for Skolas so it isn't surprising to see something different.

TBH though if they simply added checkpoints to the PoE I think everyone would be happier, even if they still had issues with each individual fight. There are a few good ideas out there on to how this could be achieved without rampant "5th round save swaps" and/or fireteam kicks. The mechanic exists for PoE and we already had checkpoints for the raids so it isn't like this would be anything new.

I'm not getting many Strange Coins so Xur appearing doesn't fill me with joy. I think I have 13 from the entire time I've been playing Destiny. Is it mainly the Weekly Heroic and Raids that you get them from?

Farming ether chests will net you some too. Spend an hour or so farming, fill up with blue engrams then chop them all in, bound to get some coins and motes as well.

Running PoE lvl28 is also meant to be pretty profitable from the small chests at the end.

Been out and bought this again, managed to get it for £12.

It is taking ages to install though.. Been installing since about 6pm....Not sure if there is something wrong with the game install or the servers.

Update was only 7.5gb which should have only took about half a hour or so.... Anyone else had this problem? Xbox One.....

Guys finally got a leg rocket launcher
It's the dreamwalker.
I re rolled it to arc
T1 is warhead Verviers, soft launch, hard launch
T2 tripod
T3 heavy payload, perfect balance, quick draw
T4 grenades and horseman
Should I keep this reforge?
From what read I think it's pretty decent?

Great for PvP, OK for PvE. For PvE, ideally you'd want Tracking instead of G&H.

Definitely keep. Grenades and Horseshoes and Tripod are probably the best perks you can get for this weapon. Believe it or not I rarely use tracking on Gjallarhorn anymore for PvE or PvP as it has built in G&H, which makes it just as good as Truth in PvP. The only thing it doesn't have is Javelin but good luck getting everything you want on a weapon......its futile to even try unless you have infinite resources.

Managed to to complete arc burn skolas last night, took a few hours but got there. Most annoying thing was we killed him about 4 times in total (including our completed one) but we got screwed up with the mines spawning on the far side of the map.

We used three maxed out Patience and Time rifles at 365 attack with weapons of light and illuminated skill on. We found any less than 365 attack doesn't stun him which was needed to stop him teleporting on top of us!

They definitely need to add some sort of checkpoint system for it, one suggestion I read was to use a system like trials does with a card in your mission slots which tracks your progress. You can only get in on a certain checkpoint if your card says you have it.

Skolas wasn't too difficult this week tbh. Breezed through the whole thing up until the big man.. Our final run last night took just three attempts to bring him down & get the mines. Wearing armour that increases amount of special ammo you can carry is golden here & a final flurry of Gjallarhorns takes him down.

Got an Exotic bounty for my troubles, my buddy got two exotic bounties & a void wolfslayers claw.

Had another awful run on ToO last night. I seem to be suffering some weird delay in PvP where my game must be running a second behind what the host is seeing. P2P multiplayer truley is a horrid experience when you come from a PC background with dedicated servers. Glad I got to the Lighthouse the first week because it doesn't look like it's going to happen again any time soon.

Anyone else sick of bladedancers in Trials? They do my head in. Apart from a fist of havoc, there's pretty much no way to counter them, we were just 4-4 in our last match, all three of us up, they had one left who happened to be a bladedancer. He popped it and shredded us all in a matter of seconds. I personally got three Secret Handshake rounds in his face and he just shrugged it off.

Does my head in :(

Yeah I just realised in my post I put POE when I meant to say Trials... *derp*.

not had an issue with them personally, golden gun imo is far more useful especially if you have the 4th shot perk, combustion, etc on.

with bladedancer you have a perk where every kill you get grants you health (maybe even full health) so if he has that on your better off all running in opposite directions or grenade spamming along with shotguns.
