Yes, unfortunately I don't know the ins/outs of PvP and the Titan was the character I was currently using. So when I then started to rank up the iron banner standing, I really had to stick with it. I'm about 1/4 way through rank 2. I'm only playing to rank 3 so I can buy the etheric light. So five days to do that and earn as much glimmer as poss so I can stock up.

The Warlock melee is only a OHK if you are in radiance. Any other time it will be a two shot unless the enemy is weak.
 
the hunter's blade dancer subclass has a one hit melee called the blink strike.

I've managed trade kills while shoulder barging a blink strike before :D Titans can do ok in the crucible, but its all about going striker titan and using shoulder barge.

Yes IB is and has always been control. You can't run the shield perk (overshield is on the defender subclass) and shoulder charge at the same time - they are on the same perk tree.

The key with the shoulder charge is to not do it head to head - you WILL die 99% of the time trying this (especially against HC or Vex user).

Shoulder charge is not a OHK if you are a level below your opponent. Learnt that the hard way in trials :)

The alt buff is pretty awesome btw, double xp when your char is a level below your max char. Think I'll get my warlock to 5 then blitz to 3 on hunter.
 
Character level or IB rep level?

I have been running Pigtails at 33 (due to my fast HC reload gauntlets) so does that mean I would have to run my others at 32 to gain the buff?

Or is it a case they will both gain the buff until they hit the same IB rank?

I do wish Bungie would actually explain these sort of things sometimes...
 
this is your iron banner rep level :)

If your main character is iron banner rep level 3, the others will get double rep until they reach rank 3 also.
 
The boost is quite nice. Went from 0 to rank 2.3 doing 5 bounties in 8 games (5 wins 3 losses) on 2nd charachter yesterday. With the xp increase per day seems 3 level 5s will be a doddle.

Still have nothing to spend these marks on though. :p
 
When you reach rank 3, is the etheric light a 1 time purchase only? (I assume it is)
I've only just noticed I'm mega low on glimmer and they cost 5k. crap!!

I have enough for 1 but will need to farm as i rank up my other 2 characters.

Holy *****, I hope not! If you are only allowed one etheric light per character I'm going to collapse in a miserable, depressed heap. :mad: All this work for one sodding piece of light!
 
Yeah you only get 2 etheric light per character in this weeks IB - why would anyone think it would be more?!? Its there to sustain your playtime

Couple weeks back I thought I needed loads of Etheric Light - Now I realise almost none of my weapons are worth upgrading so I'm going to end up just banking them and trying to get drops from the Raids. Had no luck at all with weapons in there.

I want that damn fatebringer as hand cannons are my weapon of choice but need a really good legendary one to ascend. Guess I ought to just focus on Raids - even if it's LFG runs with my other 2 characters when the OCUK ones are not running so often

Well, that's great... Looks like my 1 week of Destiny playing to level up is not going to happen then. I'll just finish the DLC storyline, maybe some IB and PoE.
 
You get one at level 3 and one at level 5 of IB

Hold off ascending Fatebringer, honestly at 300 its actually still very good. Its worth doing but other elemental primaries (specifically VoC and WoC) probably need the 365 damage level ahead of Fatebringer.
