*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I'm going to get TTK, not sure where to get it. Are you guys planning to sell the other parts of the full collectors edition.
I will assuming it comes as separate codes/discs. Not really fussed either way though. If all I can get is a £12 Cex voucher for the original game then so be it.

Just going to pick up the expansion digital edition. The emotes and stuff? Meh, probably buy it one night after a few beers against my better judgement sometime :P

Yeah I haven't thought much about this - I'm loathed really to spend the money re-buying the existing content but I know just the childish jealousy of people wandering around with XP-bonus class items will be too much to bear. That said I would happily buy it now if I could immediately pass off the current content to a friend (so that they can get as ready in advance of TTK).

The bundles are simply not what we want (just give us a TTK with the bonus items!!) but the opprobrium has died down and Bungie will probably get away with it.

I didn't see that anywhere as a separate purchase on their/xbox/amazon sites. Was it something they announced in one of their blogs?

they announced it after that dreadful interview

it's £40 for the new expansion (taken king) and £20 for the dance moves.

so £60 for all the new content.

your better off buying the collectors/legendary (or whatever it's called) edition and selling the parts you don't need.

Its worth noting that XP bonus class items are coming to everybody as part of the Taken King.

You'll just get an exclusive one of them from the collectors edition. Which you know full well you'll take off as soon as you get the new class item from the new raid.

Anyone really bored with PoE now? I mean the challenge on the 34 is OK....but it needs better rewards. Even just engram/material drops on each round, and a chance at elemental PoE weapons on the 34 would help.

At the moment, soon as I finish these two ciphers I don't think I'll bother with it anymore, Trials is much more fun....they got the rewards system spot on for it. A sliding scale with the armour pretty readily achievable for any average players, then etheric, the weapon, package then mercury as the final tease.

PoE 35 should have the some progressive reward system imo, should get cipher drops on the 5th round, and guaranteed (or at least >50%) drop chance for elemental primaries on skolas. It is the longest PvE challenge in the game, way longer than Crota and VoG, and the rewards are poop.

Pretty much, only real reason to do it is if you need EL or the armour core. Other than the fallen armour (and even then that's mainly for the 35) the other armour just isn't worth getting unless you need the stats on it.

Only do the 35 to help others out, I've got all three weapons from the ciphers, and the primary burn drop rate from Skolas is pitifully, I've had one drop in about 15 completions, and even that came with shank burn :p for the time sink/rewards its just not worth it.

Yup completely bored with PoE. It wouldn't be so bad if they were to mix the 32/34 and first 5 rounds of the 35 up a bit. Heck more than 3 objectives would be nice....

The only reason I am still running it is I have an Elder Cipher on Bluey that needs completing. Trials / IB will provide enough Etheric Light to see me through to TTK. Saying that outside of the POE 35 I haven't noticed much difference between 331 and 365 weapons anyway. I suppose this shouldn't come as a surprise (strong 300 weapons weren't made useless in TDB). It does make grinding for more etheric light to upgrade my current 331 weapons seem a tad pointless though.

I've got 35 Light now from ToO and just upgrading any old weapon now since I'm done with all my armour. What I really want is some nice gloves for my Hunter, they have 3 status which is best in slot, I got a solid one for pulse rifles that should be great once TTK drops, but need HC one for now.

I've only done POE a few times, I think the idea is good, but they should change it up like the Lv28 maybe and have a lot more to do in terms of objectives.

Hmm good point. Seems like the £40 option, while annoying that we have to pay for 3/4 of the content we already own, is the best option

Agreed. I have 1 completed cipher, and have 2 more in progress. I also have just one burn primary with shank burn  It's not worth grinding it each week now.

Quick story: Got home late, but squeezed in a standard Tuesday evening Nightfall. Wiped stupidly trying to turbo shotgun her, re-run and kill her normally. Now I knew I was close to the final node on my titan subclass, which was the last trophy I needed to hit platinum. The exp from killing her ends up popping the platinum trophy for me. So I jokingly say "if you could just drop me Hawkmoon now, that would be great", I toggle to PSN trophies to check out my first platinum (as you do). I toggle back in and  NO WAY!! There is Hawkmoon, the last exotic, just sat there :)

So I got two new bounties today but which is the better weapon? (No doubt I'll get multiple chances to get each one but which should I do first?) Super Good Advice or Pocket Infinity?

Super Good Advice has the most useful applications, it is excellent for the Atheon fight, and also the PoE boss that uses containment fields. Can't say I've ever equipped Pocket Infinity.
