*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Warlock vendor gear is decent this week:
Trials - Chest 78 int 82 dis, sniper + scout ammo
Variks - Gloves 100 int - special reload, grenade throw, fallen perk

I have a set now that is INT+DIS with hand cannon reload but with the upcoming HC nerf I might pick up a pair. Though I am out of armour cores :( can I really be bothered to do PoE 32?

might pick up the Taken King legendary edition.
played Destiny briefly when i had my xbox one and need an online game to play.
can this be enjoyed playing on your own or is a 'team' vital?

You can only do so much on your own. You'll need a team to do some things.

Agreed. There's plenty that can be done on your own, but the main draw is co-op and pvp. Play Destiny single player and you experience about a 3rd of the game, and the least fun 3rd at that.

Hurrah for Bungie finally fixing the Packing Heat trophy. Now I'm happy to move on to the Xbone version as I've done all I can on PS4. :D

Woke up early again. Thought I'd go play some crucible before work. Update starts...stalls. Select 'Loeschen' thinking it was 'close'. It was delete. FML.

Well it's another word I won't forget....

10 hours since I started redownloading destiny. 9gb out of 21. Seriously Sony?

Psn did a 6 hour install before I could even launch Destiny again. When it launched it started the 21GB download. **** poor tbh.

I haven't had a chance to flaunt my Revenant yet! If I'm lucky it might be ready tomorrow :/

I always find PS4 downloads ridiculously slow. It can literally take days to download some games if I don't have it on suspend overnight.

It's funny though because a lot of people have the same problem with the X1, but it always downloads very quickly for me.

Finally decided to upgrade my Husk of the Pit. 300ish kills later and it's done. Had it for ages but never did anything with it. Since that seems to be what Reddit it talking about after the patch thought I'd get it ready for when the Crux inevitably drops. (Please don't let this post jinx it:D)

Massive new article on Game Informer: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featu...ing-hands-on-impressions.aspx?PostPageIndex=1

Couple of interesting tidbits (new Ghosts with perks, and exotic chance buff from Xür) but nothing groundbreaking.

Bullet points from Reddit:

  • New green Weapons were stronger than Year 1 raid gear
  • End of mission to get new subclass will give you your super at a increased rate to try it out
  • Actual story telling!
  • No sparrow in Dreadnaught feels okay, compact action
  • Part of an Exotic weapon Quest bounty is collecting 50 pieces throughout the Dreadnaught
  • You will fight other races, as well as the taken, on this ship
  • If I understand correctly you can sacrifice weapons to add upgrade experience to a weapon of the same type. Kind of unclear.
  • Wider range of gear, looks to allow you to have more choices with appearance
  • As previously discussed light is just a measure of your power and activities have recommended light levels
  • Ghosts add stats and light now
  • Sample Ghost perks, Showed nearby materials, I.e. Spinmetal, And one increased Glimmer from hive
  • Can now decide which weapon, Primary, Special, Heavy, is shown in public spaces
  • Will be able to trade in old class specific armor mats for the new general one
  • You now can buy a item from XUR that boosts exotic drop rate from the next boss you fight!
  • Strikes now focus more on replay-ability, switching up the enemy compositions and even races strike to strike
  • AFKers now will be teleported up with he rest of the strike team, like POE is currently
  • Now 3 strike playlists
  • Vanguard Legacy is all the strikes from year one
  • Vanguard Ursa is random heroic strikes that will award Legendary marks and engrams
  • Vanguard Marmoset Is only TTK strikes
  • Will be hand crafting Nightfall strike modifiers
  • Lots of crucible stuff, mostly already covered, Crucible bounties are now "better"
  • New bounties Class, Fireteam, TOO, Featured playlists, And weekly bounties for big rewards
  • More raid information coming soon
  • Then they talk about value

i'm sorry but wtf...

'New green Weapons were stronger than Year 1 raid gear'

Everyone was saying the reason for year one weapons can't be upgraded due to being over powered, (bungie making mistakes with VOG perks) now green weapons are more powerful.

How powerful are the new raid weapons going to be?

i'm sorry, but they are making everyone just grind more. I can't trust anything they say. January will be another DLC, start over again?

Too many questions and no answers from bungie.

I've pre-ordered my digital copy today.

So it cannot be cancelled now. $40 +2% transaction fee.

Good luck, i hope you enjoy the DLC, but i just can't do it.

i got Halo 5 for £29.99 can't be any worst then Destiny grinding.

What's the cheapest way to go about getting TTK? I haven't done much research but it seems that some are saying I should buy the whole game again which would include all the DLC including TTK and some are saying that buying TTK alone would be cheaper.

How are you guys getting it?

All that means is that green weapons will be greater than 300 attack.

VOG weapons were 300 attack.

So greens could be 310 attack. Which means they are going to be weaker than the new guns with 400 attack.

The VOG weapons had OP stats + perks but their attack was low. So by continuing to upgrade their attack made them OP.

Now we have high attack weapons with crappy stats and perks basically.

It is cheaper to buy the entire game collection on disc (currently £36) than buy the Taken King expansion digitally (currently £40) from the platform stores.

In my case, I'm going from PS4 (digital) to Xbox One (disc) as I don't mind starting from scratch and I have enough buddies on Xbone to actually do some stuff with as opposed to PS4 (zero!)
