*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

So I'm getting back in to Destiny I have a disc version of the game on xbone
and don't own any of the expansion packs. Is there a way I can buy all of the expansion packs
including Taken King in one purchase?. I would prefer digital but would go for a disc if the price is right.
I have a level 22 Titan.

Many thanks

it's £35 on disc for everything iirc but that deal may have expired.

buying it all digitally will be £80 unless you use a foreign account.

i also believe that buying it on disc means you only get destiny on disc the rest of it is still digital as in you get codes to redeem from the store.

as always all you need to do is visit a site called hot uk deals and type the name of the game your looking for into the search box.

Right. So I've now got my hands on the Pocket Infinity (fusion rifle that can fire in full auto mode) with its rather puzzling behaviour. When you first come out of orbit and start using it in full auto mode, after the initial charge up it fires very rapidly indeed. All five charges gone in a second.

But after say ten minutes of play, it's firing behaviour changes. Instead of rapid firing all five charges in quick succession, it starts charging up between each shot but still quite quick. I prefer this latter as it gives you time to reaim for a new target. But I can't explain why there is this difference in the first place. Anyone any ideas? Is it bugged?

I think it's still bugged. It's supposed to fire in full auto all the time. Pretty sure it suffers from some reduced damage for each shot after the first as well, making it kinda crappy. It needs sorting out, hopefully it will be fixed in the upcoming weapon updates.

I'm at 18/200 for Pocket Infinity, fusion rifles are horrible damage wise.

In kills during Nightfall you mean? You don't actually need to follow the NF path. Just go to any instanced area on Venus and all the enemies in there will count. When I did PI bounty, I just went right from the Venus spawn and went to the Academy area, cleared that out, then carried on through to the next couple of areas, then worked my way back. Pretty sure if you die, you also respawn without having to go to Orbit.

No problem, was just getting some vanguard bounties done at the same time. Ther cerbrues vae (spelling?) strike his not nice unless your overlevelled. I am rubbish at checking my friends list so if you see me on chuck me an invite.

Had no idea lol, I was straggling to do any sort of decent damage on mobs thanks for the tip.

Thanks for helping me out this evening greebo :)
Level 18 now, enjoying it and I should get to max level before king expansion easily.

Greebo is really nice, one of the first guys to give me a hand when I joined, throw me an invite and a message and I shall also help you anyway I can. You should be able to hit LV30~ pretty quickly, then its not too much work too 34 and get your ready for taken king.

I would vault it and not bother with it.

It USED to be awesome. But whinging PVP try yards got it nerfed into the ground.
8 round clip, full auto, with something like a 50% chance to proc to return missed shots to the mag.
Then it got nerfed down to three and the chance to return missed shots was reduced, then the continual fusion rifle nerfs have hit it really hard, because it's base stats are pretty bad in the first place.

Yup in PVP the auto fire means you will use a whole clip/mag/battery thing downing one enemy.

Then you are out of ammo...

PI needs a desperate buff as it pales in comparison to Plan C.

It's annoying as I never got to use it pre nerf. :(

Fusion rifles are going to be pretty decent again once the shotgun range is brought back to sensible levels. Praetorian Foil has a crazy OHK range, obviously you got to deal with the charge time....I use mine on close-range maps now instead of sniper just to get a bit of practice in.

I got Hard Light at the weekend, this gun is the answer to all my Destiny prayers! It's an epic auto rifle and sounds brilliant. Bloody love it

the trials fusion rifle is pretty good also. been using it past few crucible games getting a few kills with it along with my void messenger makes a change from the normal thorn and shotgun combo

It's getting a pretty handy buff with TTK too, should be a pretty decent weapon all round.

AR Changes:
Increase base damage
Start damage falloff closer to the player to emphasize its role as a close to medium range weapon
Small reduction in base stability. Landing shots at optimal range is unaffected, but repeated precision hits require more weapon control to land consistently
Boost damage by 10% against AI combatants

Hard Light Changes:
Increase base Stability to 80 (was 65)
Increase bounce count for Hard Light projectiles
Hard Light projectiles are not affected by Damage Falloff

I've switched too exclusively using Mida, my kills dropped for a bit but this weekend I put in some good work in crucible and trails, fav gun the speed is amazing.
