Did they clarify whether you need to have the old items on your characters still for them to register in the collections? I've deleted a lot of the emblems etc I have had, but it'd be nice to have them register in my collection..
 
I took it to mean you just get everything you have on your characters or in the vault.

If you previously has an exotic but sharded it then you'd need to get it to drop again.
 
I think we will have to wait and see on the Exotics. It could be based on what you have received in the past (regardless if you dismantled) or based solely on what you have access to at the moment in time (account based).

It does appear that they have taken Gjallarhorn out of the equation by simply not making it available as a year 2 weapon.

EDIT: Just seen on reddit talk about them possibly adding more exotics into the Year 1 / Year 2 unlock in the future. I can't remember hearing that on the stream but I imagine it would be possible.

Overall I was very impressed with the changes we are getting and with the stream itself. Vault space is getting a nice boost thanks to tabs (something suggested many a time by the community) and in general everything looks to have more depth to it.

All of our progress carries over and our current characters will "grandfather" over at our current level. An average light value will be calculated at that point (based on all of the armour / weapons we currently have).

Looking forward to more details coming between now and launch. :)

I wonder, other than the raid mechanics, is there anything we WON'T know about before we get into TTK? At this rate we'll have pre-optimised routes for reaching 40 with max weapons before it's even released.
 
Well, we have to earn XP to get to 40, no way round that, quick way will be same as before, missions, bounties, dailies, weeklies, crucible.

I am interested to know what's happening with Trials. Surely they are going to have to shut it down for a while, otherwise it will be just the jobless/streamers at level 40 stomping everyone until normal people catch up.
 
I imagine it will simply be locked out until you hit level 40 (or maybe 38+).

Assuming the gear is refreshed it makes sense as you won't be able to use them until level 40 anyway.
 
Yeah I liked that. It might be time for me to start a third character. I wanted to but can't be bothered with the grind from level 1.

It would be nice if they gave us a fourth character slot so we could run through the entire story with the changes that have been made. I might even delete a character anyway. The only annoying thing about that is having to grind to unlock all the perks for each of the subclasses again.
 
Luckily the Mrs wants to replace one of her Warlocks with a Hunter. As I will help her level up (or run through the story missions if she uses the lvl 25 thingy) I can experience the revised / tweaked / new story. :)
 
i might vault all my warlock armour and restart my warlock because i want to change it from human to the robot

you can unlock all of them if you do iron banner every day and do the banner as well as the crucible bounties.
 
I like that there is a lot more bounties for crucible, not sure if the legendary marks drop from crucible thou, hope they do since thats what I plan to do after I'm done all the PVE content.

There will be no IB for the first 2-3 weeks after TK launches though, unless they change up the schedule. Anyway, I'm not saying it's going to be difficult - there's plenty of bounties to do - it's just annoying.

If I kill off a character it will be my Titan as I don't like his Exo face!

Both Crucible and Vanguard marks have been replaced with the legendary mark currency. You will earn then in either PVE or PVP. You can earn as many as you want but can only carry 200 at any given time. The marks are also account wide so you can spend them on different characters as you please.

One of the major benefits in that people who only play PVE can buy weapons from any vendor. It was (still is) stupid that you had to run PVP to get weapons you wanted to run in PVE..

Yeah just finished watching the video, couldn't remember if he said you could earn the points from doing crucible. 200 cap across your account is cool, but also annoying at the same time, right now I have 200 of each on each account so a total for 1200 marks. I guess I will have to spend them right away, I wish they would raise the cap too 400 so you could get a set of leg gears and a weapon, I personally forget to spend before I hit the cap.
 
I'm probably going to buy this at some point, the changes they made look great and are things that I've heard many people complain about.. so they are actually listening to feedback from consumers!

Hopefully next week they might mention more stuff on the raid.. that's the main reason I want to play again in the future.. I'm not too bothered about other things tbh.

I'm thinking spend them all on mats, then sell those mats to the factions once TK is out
