*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I'm probably going to buy this at some point, the changes they made look great and are things that I've heard many people complain about.. so they are actually listening to feedback from consumers!

Hopefully next week they might mention more stuff on the raid.. that's the main reason I want to play again in the future.. I'm not too bothered about other things tbh.
Don't get your hopes up too high - I don't think there's any plans to talk about the raid. Next week is about the new Strike. From yesterday's stream, sounds like it's going to be a full run-through of it.

I'm thinking spend them all on mats, then sell those mats to the factions once TK is out
What do you get for selling mats to the factions? By default, the marks will be converted to Commendations which can be used for faction rep.

Didnt they say all your marks were converted into commendations?

I'm just going to wait until they convert and then burn them all on faction rep

Having been playing this with friends for the last month. We're now getting towards finding light items etc.

I know TK will have a lot of content but is it really worth the price of another game? I find it slightly cheeky to ask for that amount of money. Rockstar gave us heist for free and there was more than enough content to charge a decent price.

I'm hoping they don't talk about it TBH, I want to go in blind for the first time with a team off here!

I'm tempted to skip next weeks if they're running the whole strike, who wants to see the best parts before you get to play them.

Personally speaking I didn't and won't be watching any of the streams for TTK as I want to go in blind and discover all the new stuff for myself.

I'm looking forward to the new raid though, will be good to run it with the usual gang and try to figure it out.

As much as that can be fun it's only fun for like 30 mins before it becomes tedious.

I remember the crota raid we figured out what to do but we never knew the route to take. Then there was the fact you had to go up that hill to the lamp you couldn't see that took a while to figure out.

I didn't want to spend 3-5 hours of trying to get past the first section. I'd rather wait 3 days watch a walkthrough then try it. That way at least i should be able to complete it within 3-5 hours rather than fail to get past the first section.

I think they are nerfing shotguns, icebreaker, etc because they make raids so easy. What's that 100 thralls chasing you well simply use your icebreaker no scope to shotgun one of them and the rest all explode.

What's that a wizard or a knight, no problem just shotgun it twice and it's dead.

I hope the new raid isn't hard because we all now have crap weapons. I would rather it be hard because it's got more content or mechanics to deal with.

The crota raid can be completed solo in like 12 minutes, not much of a raid.

If you make a brand new character and try doing the devils lair strike it takes like an hour to do. Simply because all the weapons you have are terrible. I hope they don't go in that direction.

I see your point but I've never done it before so I'm quite looking forward to it. Didn't start raiding until Jan of this year by which time everyone knew what to do. They're still fun but I'm looking forward to jumping in without prior knowledge. Its like I never play games using a game guide - what's the point??

If you don't like PvE then it looks like there are plenty of PvP routes to getting top gear, so you won't have to do the raids.

I'm sure they won't reveal anything about the raid before launch...they never have done previously. I'm looking forward to jumping in blind and figuring it out, but it's probably going to depend how quickly we can gear up enough to give it a decent attempt.

Chatting last night about the raid, previously they have been high level PvE, so if max level cap is 40 I am guessing Hard is going to be 40 and normal 36-38 so shouldn't take too long to get from 34 up to the appropriate level.

I guess the raid wont be instantly accesible so I am thinking of holding off buying TTK. As it peoples first impressions over the first few days are good then I shouldn't be too disadvantaged to level up ready for a 'blind run' raid.

Yeah think thats best haha. Its useful that you can upgrade a faction quickly too with mats.

This is great for me personally, I think I will do all the PvE content once then just focus on crucible, its what I personally find fun, players can do whatever they want, and the weapon changes should hopefully mean its not 70% Thorn, 25% TLW 5% other like we currently get.

Plus you always die in PvE, that can't help your experience with it ^_^

Thats fair enough, I think half the reason Bungie do these streams is to convince people on the fence that they are listening to feedback and improving the game. To be fair they have implemented a lot of improvements I would like to see.

Removing emblems and shaders for vault space as well as removing materials in general. With these two changes and the increased vault space I think a lot of the vets will have a much easier time organising their inventory now. Making crucible more relevant. A unified currency that is not restricted is another improvement. I also like that there are now stats and abilities on cosmetic items though this is not something I would have come up with.

The one thing I would have liked to have seen was some kind of player finding system to help with forming groups. I don't mind that you aren't automatically matched with people, I just can't be bothered to load up destinylfg every time I want to do a nightfall and I would like something built into the game for that. If they wanted to make it really low key it could be as simple as having an icon above your head in a lobby area indicating you want to do a particular activity.
