Quick question guys,
I have the disc version of Destiny (PS4), but last night pre-ordered the collectors edition (digital) on PSN so I can have access to the expansions now before TTK comes out.
Trouble is, it said I need to delete any disc version information before I can download any digital content, yet when I logged on (using the disc) it came up with a message saying "Thank you for purchasing The Dark Below" but hasn't said anything about House of Wolves. Am I to assume both worked?

Have you got all the gold chests on Mars? They give out a coin once you have them all I think

POE chests give out coins just do the POE level 28
I have been a bit vague here. I am playing the trial game on Xbox One. I did own it back when it first came along and got to level 24 with one character - then I sold it on Xbone and switched to PS4 for the extra content.
Now in two weeks, I'll be switching back to Xbone again for TTK. However, I loaded up the trial game to see my character stuff and I had 12 strange coins and 24 motes of light. By doing tons of patrol missions, I got my vanguard rank to 2 and earned enough marks to buy two pieces of armour. Stupidly, I bought the gauntlets last night without thinking about Xur. That took me to level 26. So I can buy one more piece of legendary armour with the remaining marks.
I'm still one strange coin short to buy anything from Xur. The trial limits you to patrol missions in the cosmodrome only so I can't do anything else except hope I get a strange coin from the postmaster for the public event.
Why am I doing all this? Because if you get to light level 30 by August 30th you get a sparrow, an emblem and a ghost shell. I MUST BE NUTS! BUNGIE HAVE GOT MY NUTS FO' SURE!
EDIT: Just bought the chest armour from Zavala so I'm now 28. I can try and do loads of Wolves encounters and hope that one of those blue engrams gives a coin. That's another route.

Hahaha, seriously? I've had about 15 of those drop in the last two weeks. Seems like Bungie area really keen for people to have them.
So is anyone going to buy TTK for both the PS4 and XB1? I know some great people on both platforms, and I really wish you did not have to pick
Yup but only Xbone this year. I will get it for PS4 around Xmas or New Year when I've exhausted the content on Xbone.

I seriously doubt anybody is going to be keeping two sets of characters on both platforms going.
Most that have characters on both will likely have old and new ones as they switched at some point.
They already acknowledged how much of a chore it gets when you've got 3 characters at the max rank that have completed everything, I can't imagine having that same nightfall / weekly grind on both platforms.
I'd just pick one and stick with it.

i'm getting sick of maintaining 3 characters the game is sooooooo boring now.
there is just not enough content to keep you going. all that is keeping everyone going is RNG.
the raid used to be great, you used to enjoy it. now your disappointed after 30+ completions and that gun still hasn't dropped for you. yet it dropped for your friend on their second completion.
never mind having to do that on 2 consoles. i don't know how someone could enjoy the game that much to go through all of that.
as it currently stands i think everyone in america is buying ttk due to it being so cheap over there. other parts of the world half the community has decided to invest their £40 elsewhere.
that £40 is going to get you maybe another 2 months max out the game then they will want another £20-40 for the next DLC.
i've decided this is my last DLC. it's been my first MMO game and yeah it completely ticked all the boxes as to why i have avoided them until now. MMO's just aren't for me. I'd rather sit on a level playing field than be forced to grind for stuff to make myself competitive in pvp. It sucks all the fun out of it for me.
bungie should have just made a clone of halo and made it a PS exclusive.
RNG has nothing to do with me continuing to play. I only really do Crucible these days and that's because I find it fun. There's no weapons or armour in the game that I need (other than maybe Hopscotch Pilgrim).
On an unrelated note... Anyone from the X1 old guard looking to return to Destiny with TK? Not seen people like Mazin, Dr Pharmacology, or deadparrot in a long time!
