Not sure if its been mentioned but you can also edge your faction/crucible/vanguard ranks up to very close to the next level.

That way when you turn in 1 bounty you will rank up and the postmaster will hopefully have some nice legendary gear for you.

Remember you can only select one faction per week though, so you can only tip one over the edge per week. Think I will go FWC first on the assumption their gear will be int/dis :)
 
I've got one character high with each. My titan has nearly always ran FWC, Hunter - New Monarchy and Warlock - Dead Orbit.

Another tip as well, both the faction emblems and shaders will be in the same loot pool for the new faction packages. Make sure to buy all the emblems for the old crucible marks so as to avoid getting them in your reward packages. Initial demo build showed the faction emblems remaining the same.

Once taken king comes around, you can delete them and they will stay unlocked in the new kiosks.
 
hardly have any space, may clear up some of the ToO emblems, have 3 of most of them so I can delete 2. Also quick question, are faction class wide in TTK, or is it still split up, cause if it is you could just pick one 1 each and get the best weapons, and focus your main on FWC for armour.
 
I think faction is character specific, but only one change per week.

I would be surprised if FWC was the only faction with int/dis armour, I think we'll see more switchable perks. I'll probably edge all 3 factions and see what the deal is come launch. Going to be a lot of stuff to discover on the 15th!

They did switch Light beyond nemsis too int/dis so could be right, I think I will get the best armour on hunter and just look at weapons on other 2.
 
What's this about stashing mats and gear? What do I need do?

I heard it was important to not dismantle gear, so I have been collecting it, but what's this about mats, daily public events and 5000xp?
 
The 2.0 update is coming a week earlier than TTK - 8th September.

EDIT: And it appears if you need to get your Moments of Triumph thing done, you now only have 6 days.

You don't have to do it, it is just something to help out. We know there are new character subclasses, armour weapons etc. and that will require levelling up so if you can get 10 bounties at 5000xp and some public events at the postmaster. You can 'bank' 100,000xp ready. Also worth, if you haven't already having max glimmer with as much glimmer in the vault through house banner, network keys etc.

It really comes down to there being no point grinding for new gear now as in 2 weeks it will be obsolete so may as well grind now to help out with the new stuff when it's released.
 
Yeah I don't think stashing bounties is that big a deal. Unless you are a power leveller that wants to be first in the raid or something.

I'm just switching my play for the next few weeks to alternate characters and not hand in bounties, not that big a deal, I've neglected my other chars while I've been maining my warlock in pvp.

Nigh stalker is going to be evil in crucible, mark my words :)
 
I will be starting fresh again so I will not be preparing beforehand. Going to create a new Hunter and use the Level 25 boost on it.

I still think the Hunter will be the class for PvP, and I play a lot of Crucible.
 
The only thing I am doing at the moment is keeping Public event bounties back. I will probably hoard up some bounties closer to the time (so Monday... :p) but I can't be arsed now. I have two weeks off starting on the 14th so don't need to rush anything now :D.

Watched the stream last night and nearly fell asleep it was that dull (more the presenters than the content). The Court of Oryx looks interesting enough but I fear we may have another POE on hand once we have exhausted the rotation of bosses. Also "tier 2" was a little disappointing in that it was just 2 Tier 1 bosses at the same time. They didn't show Tier 3 so hopefully that will be something different.

A glimpse of the raid was given but it was nothing more than what we saw as a glimpse for the DB (didn't really show any gameplay).

EDIT: PEr Mid_gen's post above, anyone up for having a stab at the raid on say 19/20th (Sat/Sun)? We might be horrible under equipped but it would be a laugh. :D
 
I'm back in larrrndan for a few days for the start of the RWC and won't be back to my PS4 until Sunday!

I have got the 16th off though so I will be doing an epic all-day gear grinding session if anyone else is around in the day and fancies making a fireteam.

Also have the 21st daytime free when I get back :)

Court of oryx is just another fun thing to do in patrol mode while on the dreadnaught.

Its good that others in patrol mode can make their way there and just join in.

Will be a completely different experience to prison of elders.
 
Not sure I'll get away with spending the evening on Monday on Destiny after I've been away with the lads all weekend.

I will *definitely* be in for stuff on Tuesday 22nd, after first reset.
