*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Something to note for any Achievement/Trophy whores out there - with the change from Vanguard/Crucible Marks to Legendary Marks, this could mean this week is the last chance to earn the Achievement/Trophy for earning max Vanguard/Crucible Marks in a single week. I imagine most of us have done it by now, but it's worth noting if you haven't.

Ah ok that makes more sense about the marks. I will have to make sure mine are all over a 50 multiplication. Most of mine are at 200 but I think my warlocks vanguard is 130 or 140 so will have to get that to 150 otherwise it is a waste. I don't need to spend any on materials either as I have ~400 of each material which should be through TTK for a while :D

I do like they are combining the individual armour mats, I only have something like 100 of each saphire wire and plasteel plating but over 1000 hadronic essense.

I think the best course of action for me is burn through the missions on my warlock and then grind crucible/vanguard to get armour to raid asap. My hunter and titan though I shall take more time with getting up to level.

Nope, in TTK there will be no max on how many marks you can earn per week, though there is a limit of 200 you can carry at once. As they are now split over your 3 characters you should in theory hit the limit fairly often, encouraging you to spend the marks rather than just sitting on them like I do now.

Depends if they change gear up, it might take longer but as some point all the vendor stuff will just be meh. I could see 3 months down the line having everything I could want and not spending much marks anymore outside of upgrading items.

I read somewhere that the marks achievements will just carry over too legendary marks so you should be able to get it. They said on twitter that ever achievement is still achievable in 2.0.

This is my plan.

Max out Pigtails as best as I can and then move onto the others.

Warlock Master race :p

I think upgrading exotic items to Year 2 costs something like 120 marks so I'm sure we'll have plenty of stuff to spend the marks on :)

I'm not sure which character I'll do first tbh. I've mained a Warlock since day one but I really like the look of the new Titan class, it looks fairly beastly. I know a few of us are taking some time off to play it so I think I'll just see what they're doing and choose a different subclass. I fully expect to have all 3 characters at level 40 with fully unlocked sub classes by Friday. I'll have 16 stored bounties, at least 10 public event packages, as well as some Focused Light consumables, on each character. Getting to level 40 won't be an issue for me :)

Same, I've mained my Warlock since launch...so I'm making a switch for year 2. I think there's going to be loads of sunbreaker titans around so I'm going hunter. Mainly because I want to see the tears as I shut down sunbreaker supers in crucible :D

I usually have enough spare days leave to book some off for games but its been a busy year for me so no more leave :( Otherwise I would have ben joining you. I agree with you on the bold above, the titan super looks like it is the best one out of the new ones. I am sticking with my warlock mainly for self revive, I know there is the new sub-classes to try out but when running a raid for the first time then self revive is pretty useful IMO.

A very fair and valid point. I'll have to see what everyone else will be running in the raid before I decide fully. I imagine the normal version of the new raid will allow for revives which negates the need a little bit, but having a self-res Warlock can certainly save a team from a wipe now and then with some clutch play.

They aren't unlocking until the 15th. 9th is weapon rebalancing, new PvP modes, gunsmith.

Hadn't read a roundup of new content, seems we have :

8 new crucible maps
3 new crucible modes (rift, mayhem, zone control)
4 new strikes
Dreadnaught patrol area incl. Court of Oryx
8 main story missions + 'more' unlocked on completion
New raid

Heroic strike playlist that rewards legendary marks and engrams (I think this is going to be the way to gear up).

I'm sticking with Hunter and nightstalker, should be a great support class and has some interesting game play.

This could work really well, if you don't need the item you can turn the legendary item into marks aswell, really depends how much marks you get, if its like 20-30 then thats not bad, if you can get through the mission in a decent amount of time.

I don't know if they have released how/how many legendary marks you gain from other activities.

Mayhem crucible is on 7 minute timer so will be the quickest way to gain marks if the current 4/6 mark reward remains...but I have a feeling it's going to change.

Not only that, but apparently you get a strike "bonus" for completing multiple strikes back to back in a playlist without going back to orbit, giving you better chances for better loot. That'd certainly be the way to go if you want to gear up. Either that or the Court of Oryx I reckon.

Crucible feels like less of a grind too me so I think it might be what I end up doing unless the strikes are much faster.

On the stream they didn't get any Legendaries, but it might be the case that you need to do some Court of Oryx to grind out some decent gears before you can tackle the Strike. Thats why I'm thinking to maybe just grind out Crucible where my light level matters less.

Can any one clear up the pre order confusion i have.

If i pre order ttk from any retailer i get the suros arsenal pack but only certain retailers have the vanguard weapon pack is that right?

If i order with the vanggaurd weapon pack do i still get the suros arse pack.

Its just confusing as some retailers don't advertise any pre order bonus where other advertise one but not the other. I watched a video saying all pre orders get the surso pack but he was american.... so.

Most of my weapons are pretty naff so getting new ones would be nice :)

Lastly i doubt anyone will know the answer to this. The taken king legend edition on us psn is 60$ I currently have destiny bought from the eu psn store. If i buy the ttk from usa psn will my euro account get access to ttk plus expansions or would i have to start again :s

I think everyone who preorders gets the Suros Arsenal pack. This includes all editions - just the TTK upgrade, Legendary edition and Collector's Edition.

You only get the Vanguard weapons if you buy Legendary or Collector's Editions.

(*I think this is right*)

Although the Xbox store page has both weapon packs listed for every edition - even the basic upgrade. Maybe at one point Suros was to be exclusive to a retailer but then Activision realised the **** storm they were going to create and nailed that idea.

Anyone know what the itinerary is for patch 2.0 tomorrow?

Is it going to download overnight and be ready or are they going to release it at 10AM when the weekly events reset? How big is it going to be even? Is there any offline period for maintenance?
