Easy enough quest chain. Just need the warsats, but can't be bothered waiting round for them atm.

Got my Fabian Strategy and exotic sword, and most fragments, enough for one sick day.
 
Any Titans about that can help me with completing the sub class quest where you need to create 7 orbs from Fist of Havoc in a strike. I have read that Will of Crota Strike is best where initially you go back to cosmodrone patrol start point and down the bunker killing the 3 yellows that spawn. They respawn when you come back out of the room.
 
Just doing the quest line for the scout rifle. Soo grindy. Finish a simple task, return to orbit, hand it in, return to orbit, go to next objective etc

Its either deliberate padding or terrible design. But then sometimes one objective will lead straight to another.. ao they can do it

*oh, done all the quests then found i need to be queens rank 3 or higher to get the rifle. Im level 1 with them :( dont think the grind is even worth it! Is there a quick way!

Just wondering how difficult is it to get a good group of players for this game?

I originally played Destiny when it came out, but ended up selling it due to friends backing out. I did some multiplayer matchmaking strikes but couldn't find a good group to play with and I think it put me off. While I loved the shooting mechanics and setting, the solo stuff at the time just wasn't upto snuff.

So has it changed at all? Is it easier to get a good group going? I was surprised to see my level 22 character was still there but I think I might start over again because I'm really out of practice and my equipment is awful :p
 
Honestly, we're all a good bunch here, plenty of lads willing to help out others :D

And gearing up/levelling up to 40 doesnt seem to take too long now, certainly it didn't take me too long at all and first started playing Destiny when TTK came out.

I assume you need to hit rank 3 at the minimum on each (this means having a Titan, Warlock and Hunter to do the Vanguard ones). Not sure what you need to do with the Speaker mind.

Got my Touch of Malice last night with help from Greboth (who also got his) and TehBlueBear (who had the enjoyment of another Fear Eater mission - don't worry though we will repay the favour when you get to that step... :)).

Collecting the right amount of calcified fragments on the right character though was a right chore. According to my grimore I had 45/50 but only 42/50 on Pigtails.... F.F.S...!!!

This resulted in 1 and half hours of running through every possible Fragment location to ensure I had them all (well 45 to trigger the next part of the quest). My method was rather "old school":

Ah the joys of not having this logged directly in the game.....

Luckily the ones I was missing were either story or patrol based. I didn't have to hope to get the right combo on the Court of Oryx. I am now at 46/50 with the only one missing being "Mini Crota".

Haha yup, the old skool approach won in the end. There is still 1 have got on my account but not on my warlock. I can rule out a huge chunk of the such as patrol, regicide or raid ones so I am thinking it is a court one I'm missing. Either way touch of malice is ours :D It is going to take some getting used to as it is to easy to kill yourself with it but should be brutal against deathsingers and oryx.
 
I'm rank 4 with all the Vanguards, Dead Orbit, rank 7 with the Cryptarch, etc. So if it is rank based, I should have them :(

Also happy to help. I knew you two would look after me on Fear's Embrace :p

When are we planning on doing the rest of that raid btw?

I have the gun, strike is the last step it seems! comes at 290 attack.

I haven't tested it yet, got to out soon but will run a quick strike and see.

Really needs more stability though!

edit:

34444 critical damage to a taken acolyte in the heroic strike.

It's good.
