You can quite happily do the 1st and 2nd raids, along with Prison of Elders, at level 36. In fact, you're over levelled for all that content. The only raid you can't do is the latest one, King's Fall.

Etheric light is guaranteed from the PoE 34. If you didn't receive it immediately it will be at the post master.

You won't be doubling your primary weapon damage with a single Etheric light. Year 1 weapons will go from 150/160 max to 170 max with an etheric light.

I like the idea of doing the "old game" raids to get my hand into running raids on Destiny, I might do that. Done a few PoE now.

There's a level cap of 40 but it doesn't really mean much. The real cap is light level, which theoretically is 320 although the highest anyone can get currently is 319. To reach that, you'd need to be one lucky s.o.a.b. :D

Ahh man didnt see this. Could've done with some help. Joined up with 3 american 12 year olds... 4 hours later we got to oryx but by then it was 3am so we had to abandon which has now been reset :(

If you want to finish Oryx this week let me know and I will see if I am free, I have a couple of hard mode raids organized this week (today and Thursday)
 
Soooo latest update brings weapon parts to banshee for glimmer and it looks like they have finally got round to fixing the cheese spot for the saber strike. Which means fun and games for strikes and nf if it makes it to the nf list again. Boy that's gonna be a major pain in the rear to finish now that you can't glitch through the Rock and sit underneath the Warsat lol.

Edit: 250 glimmer for 5 parts so not too bad I guess, just bought 100 parts.

The saber strike really isn't that hard if you are a high enough level or your team mates aren't completely crap. Also, the weapon parts for glimmer is classic destiny. Nerf them because they were too easy to get (even though they weren't) and then allow people to buy them for an irrelevant amount of glimmer.

Getting a bit fed up with some LFG raid groups. People will swear blind they've done the raid numerous times, and yet be completely clueless when it comes to the encounter. Like at the daughters encounter, they get chosen to be the runner, and they can't work out which platform to start at. By the time we've all yelled "front left front left front left" while they stubbornly bimble around the back right platform, we've wasted too much time and it's a wipe. Or in the Oryx fight, I once had a guy try to detonate his orb by shooting it. It took several wipes, several instances of "why did only three orbs detonate" before we finally figured out what this guy was doing.

All they had to do was mention they're new to it and someone would have explained each encounter. As it is, people don't have a clue and don't ask for help, and it wastes everyone's time.
 
Screw you Bungie and your stupid vulture error message, been trying for past hr to get on but can't as it keeps throwing me off.

Logged off Xbox live and then logged back in but still no go.

Try the100.io much better, signed up last week and have nothing but good things to say about it assuming you set yourself up correctly for your play style etc.

Yeah we use it all the time and it's great. It's also pretty easy to see who has done the raid by looking people up on destinytracker.
 
Sweet, you can now buy all of the swords from Shax so if you haven't got the other 2 thats gotta be a good thing.
