Backed the game being an original BBC player in the 80’s. loved it. Not got a PC able to play games so my copy of Elite is still sitting there. I was annoyed when you added up my £20 KS buy and the Horizon expansion even with the £10 off it cost £50. To that of someone new to the game buying just horizons for £40 and getting the base game as well included.
If I got still the £10 discount on the £20 horizons id snap it up. At least with the sale price it gets you level with newcomers in my case at £40.
Just figured that the expansions will all be inclusive of the one before. So maybe getting next season would make more sense for me as I’ve still to play.
Yeah my plan was to wait until Season 3 late this year so I'd get Horizons included - but not sure I can wait any longer
Problem is, I found Elite quite boring after a little while - I had very little to no actual player interaction, and I found the missions very 'samey'. But I am interested in visiting some planet surfaces...

Horizon's is in the steam sale at the moment as is base game
I do find it interesting how there's been a number of debates about the cost of ED, yet you, myself and many others are clearly quite happy to spend a serious level of dosh on Hotas, screens, VR units etc. Gotta laugh at that.
lol, yes, I just think about cost per hour of gameplay and you soon realise its not even pennies....

Wondering if any one can help me out. Received my delan clip the other day, after downloading and setting up the facetracknoir and point tracker plugin i have it all working and love what it adds to the game. I am however experiencing issues though with the screen chucking the camera back to center for a frame or two every now and again, its almost like the software looses tracking for a split second and then regains it instantly. this however is not the case, i mae a point of checking the recognition through the whole range of movement and it was fine.
This is using the freetrack 2.0 engine, vjoy works but it seems to have a high latency and wont give a full range of movement.
Any help or advice form other users?

The worst has happened. I lost my python in a military strike and was 250k away from being able to afford the insurance (including 2.5m loan) for even the base ship. So now I'm in a cobra. 88m worth of ship down the drain. It's true what they say: don't fly what you can't rebus.

Yep, although oddly enough I'm really enjoying flying something nimble for once. A bit weird having to be careful against the bigger ships and wings though. Buyback is only 50k credits though so I can do whatever I want lol
The Hotas X is fine for me. But as you say, if it's uncomfortable to use for a long time then it's worth upgrading. But apart from that I've not seen any reason to upgrade mine.

So I decided to make a trip to lave, I have amassed about 600k in credits and my eagle valued at just shy of 500k, the trip is a 42 jump trip and I'm 26 in. along the way I decided to take a look at some ships, to my surprise upgrading to a viper meant I got 26k back so I took it and installed a few extras, kw scanner, fuel scoop (a godsend I might add!) and a couple of beam lasers. power draw looks less than the eagle was with a higher draw ceiling with extra hard points to boot, I will add a power distributor and then be back on my way.
I still have 400 ish k and will hit a few more res sites before picking somewhere to call home for a bit and then grabbing a transport/haulage ship and running some high load trading to generate funds.

I have the original Elite Dangerous but didn't play it much due to not getting on well with mouse + keyboard controls. I've decided get a Hotas X and try again.
What I was wondering was whether it is worth me also upgrading to Elite Horizons? I haven't made much progress into the original Elite Dangerous, so would it be better to explore that further first? Or does Horizons bring some benefits / improvements to the original game too?

Stay around lave and run rates for a bit, there's a fantastic route that runs from Lave to Witchhaul and back. With a cobra I was making ~500k per run which took around 45mins-1hour.

Is this difficult to put together? Whatabout the projectors? Are they going to be mounted into the celing? Would love to see the area where you are going to install it.

Kanifee, aside from the issue you have with the Delan clip, how is it overall? I've tried the homebuilt kit with a 360 camera, and I just cannot get it tracking right. Not sure if its the camera or the build but frustrated I can't get it going.
