Yes it does and yes he should have turned it on before hand but its hardly the first thing i would think of. You might expect 1 convo by accident but not 20! Maybe us ASCN guys are too trusting of fair play....

personally though I'd probably have everything possible turned off .. Id have IRC, MSN nothing open except Eve ... I'd have my phone unplugged and my mobile offline and autoreject on .. I would have all my chat channels closed except local for the timer.
Bob had the correct setup, outclassed? maybe, maybe not. But it took skill and experience to pick their setup, I would never have taken a rocket crow where you dont need a scrambler.
Extremely fast gank ranis with 2 webs, high tracking fast arty claw, long range crow, thats all that would work where warping away counts as a loss.

Part of the problem was the intelligence ASCN had received was that BOB might pick a Taranis to field. Hence the setup. This intel was in fact half accurate as BOB were choosing between a ranis and the crow. Too bad we made the wrong choice albeit a valid one!

Just found a far funnier version - in Icelandic
to tell you all how much of a n00b i am i shall tell you my story from last night.
i get home, get stuff done and log in to eve, i've been promising myself for 2 weeks to get one of my chars up north to join in the roadtrip were on, i've been really when i've managed to get ingame building t2 ammo and doing corp errands to really concerntrate on my pvp side.
I've also been dropped intel that theres a dread that needs moving 2 hops so unprepared I buy a blackbird and fit it out as cheap as i can, (malkurth launchers, jammers. sensor booster, afterburner, bcu and nano.. oh and a cyno, fuel and missiles) im pretty broke atm cos i've just bought a t2 ammo bpo and i expect to die tonight (as im acting as a cyno pilot), im kitting out the ship along the way and hear on ts that i've just missed ANOTHER carrier kill, this time some nub in the sparta alliance, loosing a named t1 fitted thanatos.
When i get to torrinos i orginise the FC to prepare to punch a hole in a 10bs strong + support ISS camp on the torrinos gate, we've got no where near the amount of bs iss have (2 i think, but we've got a couple of command ships/hacs as well as some support + some cruisers on torrinos side inc me)
Our tactics are sorted, punch a hole, jump torrinos side in (if we baited them we would insta melt to those bs + dictor bubble) see how we fair and get out, job done.. or so we thought, moment main gang come out of warp at the gate iss are jumping out from us, i jump in and see multiple iss appear from where i was, tbh i wasnt really bothered as i had another job tonight.
teamspeak had been flakey all night, we thought it was just draco, but it appeared later to be a DoS attack on one of the servers in the colo we're on, ts goes very bitty, but we can still make out stuff, we hit the station, find a stabbed covetor in a belt, they all get away, we find a amarr ceptor at the gate, i lock he dies before i fire, i lock his pod and f1-f4 keen to be on my first mail for a couple of months and then n00bzor moment arrives.. a me induced cyno at the torrinos gate in EC.. i left the generator in the f1 position
our fleet commanders going nuts "CYNO UP, who's is it, get a covert to warp to it" etc etc etc.. i tell him quietly... it's next to you mate, i launched it by accident.. everyone on the failing ts laugh at me gang + corp chat erupt, but i can take a joke
I wonder what ISS would have thought though "omgzor BoB are invading ec- again!" tinfoil hats must have been at the ready in the local outpost In the end we switch ts for the op and it goes unhindered, i move the cyno generator I to my lowest right slot, never to be shotcut pressed again oh and i dont kill anything
