*sigh*

once again Amarr robbed of a damage bonus.
:(

An RoF bonus is better than nothing, but still, it had better have a damn good cap if it's going to be able to make use of the 8 turret slots and the RoF bonus.

Bummer, forgot about that :/

Oh well. Is it the targetting range or weapon range that's limited to 250km?
Sensor range.

However.. the range bonii reduces the need to fit as many tracking comps/enhancers.. leaving room for damage mods, plates, ew, etc. :)

You just know the Abaddon is going to need atleast two t2 RCU's to fit all 8 out, probably 3 if tachy's, and the cap will last about 4-6 volleys.

Its nice that the matari have a ship that isn't buggered with its weapon split though.

And it's solar panels have been finished by the looks of it. :D

I do worry about you sometimes

The Amarr T3 should hopefully get a 5th Med slot to allow for an Injector, If it dose, then hello bitchin tank and max damage :D

Yup. Those 8 turret hardpoints are going to be virtually useless. As a long time Apoc pilot, I can categorically say that unless the Abaddon has a HUGE capacitor, it's not even going to be able to sustain 6 tachyons, let alone 8, if it has any damage mods on. The Apoc needs every last bit of its cap bonus, along with Amarr BS level 5 and both cap skills at level 5 just to be able to sustain 6 tachs with a sniping set up on. The Abaddon is going to have twice the cap usage on each tachyon per shot, with an extra 25% rate of fire on each, assuming Amarr BS 5.

gallente one is stepping on the megas toes, blasterthron is what i want, not a new ship! I would have liked a damp ship with big dronebay.

Hopefully this blasterboat will be fast and agile, although i think its going to have tracking problems and wont make use of the mwd bonus given that it will need a cap booster.

Maybe we will see the grid for a full neutron and tank setup!! :D

hey guys,

Just wondering on a harpy pvp set up, would like some opinions.

Here is the current setup im thinking about;

Highs
4 x light neutron blasters (tech2)
1 x small nosferatu II

Mids
1 x AB II
1 x SB II
1 x invul II
1 x (not sure what to stick here, webber? scrambler?)

Lows
1 x mag stab II
1 x PDU II

Any thoughts would be good. Would the set up vary if in a gang or solo?

ta :)

scrap the invun and use an active EM hardner. Better to plug that hole. As for the last mid slot add a webber. Cos with Blasters u sorta need to be able to dictate the range :)

U just have to let somebody else do the tackling.

That setup will be very viable for taking out ships in gangs. I used to use it with a m8 who flew a taranis. We used to pirate in 0.0 and take out up to battlecruisers with ease :)

well techically andr3w u have seen pvp of some kind. Eve Is totally pvp based. Its just people dont realise it. pvP in eve comes in many forms. Theres genral Player Vs Player Combat which is what most people see it as.

Theres also production people charge lower prices, undercutting you out of the market. This is a form of PvP as you may respond by lowing your prices so that your item will sell.

As for Eve Not grabbing you, its best to spend your first week or so training skills and learning the basics of the game. Eg how to mine, mission run, trade and eventually PvP. If you can and are intrested in pirating or combat pvp try find a pvp who accepts n00bies in and trains them up. The Eve-Online forums is a good place to find a corp. (although im sure OCUK has one and will help)

Once you get out of a n00b corp the game really opens up and is tons more fun to play.

solo blaster harpy isnt meant to be too good because it isnt agile/quick enough to dictate range against other AFs, or so I read. Depends what you want to go after I guess.

Cool dude, i shall give it a try later tonight :)

mmm soloing in an AF is hard, The Ishkur i would say is the best tbh drones + blasters is great. The problem an AF faces is been Nossed, cos that really screws up an AF unless its minmatar in which case it just annoys the pilot slighty :P

Setup i use normally is

Highs: 3t2 ion blasters, 1 small Nosveratu (best named)
Meds: Abt2 or MWD, Web, scram
Lows:Small Armor rep t2, Damage control (best u can afford), True Sansha explosive plating, energized adaptive nano

Drones: a good mixture of light t2s

Does what it says on the tin :P. Void ammo is a must with this setup, if u come across cepters null can be handy also. Though its mostly the drones that do the work ;)
