How do you see it playing out?

Ronda by murder. Gina is too far removed from the game to be competitive IMO - she's only had 8 Pro-MMA fights and the last was 17 years ago. Ronda has had 17 bouts by comparison, plus a lifetime of Judo.

If Ronda attempts to stand with Gina it could last more than a minute given Gina's Muay Thai background, if Ronda chooses to grapple it's over within the minute.

It will be mega uncompetitive or even entertaining in m view.
Ronda's done and her body isnt up to scratch either, I cant see her subbing Gina in a short period of time, Gina was no slouch but everyone judges her on the cyborg fight.
Ultra boring decision incoming is my bet.

Sad to see max getting dominated so easily for 25 minutes, charles had an excellent gameplan and superior strength in those clinch exchanges though.

Shame they cant just have a bmf rule that says last 10 secs, throw down in centre:cry:

Still feeling this is the only outcome tonight, anyone got a different opinion?

1 fighter who hasnt fought in 17 years and has recently lost 100lbs. Other fighter hasn't fought since getting brutally ko'd twice and has been in the fantasy fighting world since.
Prob is a Ronda win, but truthfully the whole thing is just a cash grab and the fight is basically meaningless at this point in time.

You care enough to know that Gina lost 100lbs, information that only came out last night :D

I'm sure neither of us care in the grand scheme of current MMA, but it's still a fight I care about for the spectacle of it - and because it'll be a highlight reel finish undoubtedly :p

I've been following the whole MMA scene since 2006, its pretty damn clear how much weight Gina has cut over the past 4 years.

And result is in what a surprise, its an absolute nothing fight, not even a punch thrown, as said earlier completely meaningless.

Ronda gets her fairy tale ending, which she does not deserve.
Gina gets paid which is good.
Mike Perry ups his stock again. Ngannou is beating up everyone still. JDS should stop fighting.

Disappointed it ended so fast but that was always a danger, Ronda gambled she could charge in without getting tagged and it paid off.

The result is exactly what I expected, they may be two of the best ever however they were two of the greatest in different eras and the game moved on. This is probably what a mythical Ali vs Tyson bout would have looked like (in speed not technique obviously).

One thing I did like is that Ronda has gotten even better at playing the bad guy following her time in the WWE, it's always hard to dislike her when she's trying to act bad for the cameras to drive up buy rates (especially as we know from social media these days she's naturally such a likable person) but she's gotten better at it.

The biggest fight in MMA history is debatable but not entirely inaccurate, it was definitely the biggest women's MMA match in history. It was the two biggest/most recognisable stars in the history of women's MMA going head to head in a dream matchup. You could maybe get a bigger match if you brought out a pair of male 90s/00s UFC legends who had never faced each other, problem is they would be in their 50s or 60s and male MMA fighters age worse than female so it would be a guaranteed clown show.

In fairness, they didn't just lose 100lbs last week they lost it over 18 months, that's 1.3lbs a week, easily doable without compromising health. It wouldn't have affected her fighting ability (or what was left of it).
