Not all SS08 packs created are Packmanchs work (however most are :)) the Template however that is used to make the kits was done by Packmanch and a few other lads, so in theory every kit made is sort of Packmanchs work.

The person has probably just downloaded the majority of peoples work (i would get he hasnt made any himself) and just wants to upload them, which I see as wrong. Once all packs have been made and Packmanch and other Creators allow there packs to be uploaded again then a MegaPack will be released. It wont be too long either before this is done because the WIP list over at FMGLive is getting smaller daily
Ah OK. Well as I said his work he has rights over. If he's made templates then he's made them for others to use and to release their work with. It is their choice whether they do a league/club pack for each league/club etc or just a megapack.

The person who has the majority of the SS08 packs isn't entitled to re-upload Packmanch's work even if he's not modifying it or using his templates. If Packmanch wants to release his work club by club or league by league that is his choice. Whoever this other guy is can compile all the SS08 kits into one for himself to backup etc but not to upload. :)

are you using SS08 kits there, I cant tell from the screenie however if you are you need to download the default kits with white effect to get rid of that white texture background you have from the original kits.
I'm using the SS08 kits. I've just downloaded the default kits with white effect. Where do I put them? :o

Ah OK. So I need the "default" folder to be in the kits folder? Like My Documents\Sports Interactive\FM2008\Graphics\Kits\Default?

Edit - Yep looks like it. Thanks very much. I might edit my first post to include the default kits link and where they need to go. :)

yup thats exactly what you do. it would be a good idea to add that to the first post about where to put any downloads you make. its literally create a Graphics folder and then sub folders Kits, Logos, Facepacks :)
Yep, will do that later on. :)

Just come home for the weekend otherwise I would have done it by now. :p

Thats spot on that Marc, just hope people read it so we dont get people asking "ive downloaded so n so but cant get them to work in game where do they go?"

that question has sent people loopy on various FM sites :D
Anyone who does that here will be directed to my first post forthwith. Or fed to the Dons, depends on my mood really. :p

Plus you haven't commented on my intentional typo. :D

I haven't as yet installed the beta patch. I couldn't see the point in immediately patching FM08. I wouldn't get to see what it changed for the better or worse.

I do notice a fair amount of disallowed goals. I might not bother with the beta patch and just wait for the final version.

Also in my game I am having problems with Queiroz, he wants more wages than the board will let me offer him. :(

But then this is just a practice game to learn the ins and outs of the game and find all the good buys ready for a proper game when the patch proper comes out. ;)

This version of the game has had a few subtle under the hood changes and working tactics from FM07 aren't working in this version. The tactics part of the game has had a serious tweaking and you aren't the only one complaining about how difficult it seems now to be good at the game. The SI forums are full of people saying the same thing.

Following link is what i have ended up creating myself after being frustrated at standard tactics being crap http://www.stonecoldmicks.co.uk/Downloads/4-4-2SCM.tac feel free to have a try with this, as even though i am only playing as Kettering i am scoring close to a 100 goals a season and not losing many games during the season. Hopefully the tactic will work for yourself or anyone else who wants to try it, as would be interested in seeing if it works for others or if it is just me.

SCM
Woot! More tactics. :D Can I add the link to my first post? :)

When im home I will upload my two tactics (one attacking, one balanced) using the Rule of One theory used by the boys over at FM Britian. However im not home from work for another week n half, although gives me more time to tweak a little
Cheers. That'd be great. :)

Feel free to add the link Marc :) i will be making some more over the next week or so and adapting this tactic to a more defensive minded one, this is more counter attack and attacking based. Will also sort out training schedules i am using into a zip and upload them for others as well.

SCM
In that case I may as well wait. I'll let you finish the tactic then link to it. Training schedules would be good as well.

Ive never really worked at making my own Training schedules, for the past FM ive used Tugs Training always seems to improve any promising players tenfold
Same. I really should try and develop my own training schedules. That and a tactic using the RoO theory.

True. On FM07 I think Akkers was the best young keeper with the potential to be the best in the game. There will of course be other younger keepers who are nearly as good.

The 3 that i know are always good are Ochoa, Ustari and Akinfeev.

Theres also that bargain Enyeama.
Possibly top 4 keepers in the game that can be bought fairly easily. Would have Cech and Buffon in there but not going to be easy getting them. Gordon might be fairly easy for a top club to nab off Sunderland.

Have you done exactly as:
Code:
Tints and hips

If you wish to download graphics for FM08 there is a procedure to follow to get them to show up in the game. You need to go to your My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\

If there isn't a Graphics folder, create it. Then make sub-folders called Kits, Logos, Facepacks for erm kits, logos and facepacks funnily enough. Once you've done this you unpack the graphics you've downloaded into the corresponding folder and then you should see the graphics in the game. If you don't see them, go to the Preferences menu in-game and the display menu. Untick the "Use cache" option or whatever it is called. I forget and I'm at home on my laptop. Then tick the "Reload skin on OK" option I think it is. This makes the game always reload the skin when you click OK. This should sort out the graphics.

Now if you use the SS08 kits, there is something special you need to do. The SS08 shirt template is a different shape to the default kits so you need to download the default 'SS08' kits so that FM08 uses the right default kits. If you don't use this your SS08 kits will show up in game but you will see white edges where the SS08 kit is smaller than the default kits. This is mighty annoying!! So you download the SS08 default kit. Then you unpack the new default kits to the kits folder. BUT you must put them into a subfolder called 'default' I think it is.

Or check out Tints and Hips section of my first post. :)

Might as well finish the season and do the world cup. If you do well with Fulham and Switzerland (might I emphasise the if bit :p) then your reputation will increase and you might be invited to manage Wigan or Reading or something like that. :D
