Finding it hard to play FM atm. Now I know FM09 is soon to be out I just can't find the hunger. That and I can't be bothered to fully update the Utd squad with Berba in and Saha out etc.
CPU is important yes but RAM also.
I think FM supports quad-core or if not will in FM09 so theoretically a quad-core would be the best CPU. 4GB should be enough RAM unless you want or need more.

Ive got a quad, and i see no performance difference when i set the games affinity to one core.
It'll be cool if 09 supports quads though.
I believe FM08 can use dual-core. FM09 will probably add quad-core support.

Have to say I'm amazed demo isn't out now or before November 1st. The full game is out on November 14th so that is 12 days to try the demo before the game. Surely we've had at least 3 weeks demo time before the game release in the past? Or am I getting old and not remembering things right?

Three days? What on earth could you need three days to prepare for FM09?

So I'd have to manage a country and have some of that country's players at my club? I managed the Czech Republic and Man Utd so no cross over there.
Have you tried any of the tactics on the first page of the thread? Are you getting your defenders to close down? Are they on a high or low defensive line?
