guys i wanna move my FM to a new laptop they brought me at work, much better spec and more memory. if i have tweaked my database do i need to copy that over as well as the save game?

Shouldnt have to no, as your save game will store your current database, the starting ones are just templates.
Although, just to be sure, just copy your entire SI folder in your my documents across. That way you'll be guaranteed on getting everything. Saves, databases, tactics, schedules, facepacks, settings, etc;
:).

ok cheers boom, will do that, i seem to remember having an issue with a teaked ground improvements i made in the database not carrying over with a save game on FM07

What he said. :) It shouldn't really matter although you won't be able to start a new game using that db. :)

You do - if you don't the game will complain everytime you load it up that the db you created the game from is missing. You will be able to continue playing but you may find yourself using the settings from the default database.

As suggested copying the SI folder in your my documents across will bring everything over.

I know as I moved machines this morning and got these errors when I didn't move the db folder across.

ok moved the programs folder and the my documents folder over to the new computer, when i load my save game i get an error. "the database folder with which this game was created could not be found. The game is now using the default database"

anyone got any ideas?

Haven't got the game in front of me but in the game preferences you can set your data folder - make sure that path points to your FM folder in my documents.
