And you are sure you have entered it correctly?

You say you entered it on the xbox and the xbox site? Did it also say invalid on the 360 itself?
 
I'd take it back to the shop and request another code.

Have you gone through the account management options and upgraded your account that way?

Eg.

My Xbox > Account Management > Upgrade Account

Last time i added a XBL sub code it was entered somewhere other than the marketplace.. I'll boot up the xbox and will have a look/see.

EDIT: try Settings>Account Management>Redeem code.

Anyone know why I am getting seemingly random illegal laps? I don't see what I am doing wrong, sometimes as soon as cross the line to start a new lap I get the illegal indicator immediately even when on the racing line...It's getting bloody annoying.

Won't have it, ill just have to contact MS somehow, monthly for the timebeing me thinks :D

In normal racing? It's not random, drafting someone will invalidate the time as you gain an advantage that way. Dunno why the bother with the illegal stuff, it'll be pretty hard to get a normal lap in if you bottom out etc.

Doesn't do it in free mode.
 
Picked mine up in town today along with eyepet and the new lips, not tried it yet but i have like 4 different scratch of codes lol. I got a pre-order card (even though i didnt) with an Audi R8 quatro and an Evo X, did these differ from shop to shop (dont mention stores by name)?

You can create private rooms with restrictions and all the funky stuff you want, but only your friends or people you invite can join, there are no public custom lobbies any more... Well at the moment at any rate... Forzamotorsport.net has gone a bit crazy with many people complaining.

Oh yes it is a bit poor. They've gone and removed one of the best features... And the reason was that they wanted to make the game more inclusive... Bearing in mind the game hasn't been released in the states yet, there could be more server filters released soon... I think Europe and Japan are test beds for the US release.

Oh and you can no longer load custom tunes in a lobby now. Each car is set with the last tune you left on it when you go in to MP. I think that was to reduce the leaderboard cars from being so dominant.
