How to exploit the multi screen setup to give you a better FOV in the cockpit view 
You don't need multiple Xbox's/TV's just the one will do. This does disable the look around cockpit feature (doesn't matter if you using a wheel as you can't look around any ways) but you can still check your sides/rear.
Multiscreen: On
Mode: Host
Channel: 0
View: Center
Degrees Hidden: 0
Degrees between screens: 60-80 (whatever you prefer)
Example pic:

- At the main menu choose "Forza 3 Motorspot" then "My Profile" and scroll down to "multiscreen setup (yes even though you only have 1 screen)
- Now change your settings as followed:
Multiscreen: On
Mode: Host
Channel: 0
View: Center
Degrees Hidden: 0
Degrees between screens: 60-80 (whatever you prefer)
- This will restart your Xbox and you should have a much better FOV (Field of View)

Picked up my copy in town this morning, was nice to not only get free content included, but the guy in the store also handed me their own pre order codes, so I get the R8 and a racing M3 – result!
Now, on to my experience so far – rubbish! Why oh why did this game not come out for the PS3, seriously, or at the very least, why couldn’t it have been Sony who made the 360 hardware!!!
Installed both disc one and two to hard drive, then I downloaded my extra content; although it looks like I may miss out on the bimmer, as I was already downloading the R8 it threw up a duplicate download error when attempting to get the M3, and now when I try the code for that, it says it has already been redeemed and I cannot see the usual option to re-download stuff.
Now the biggie, I launched the game and put up with a pretty annoying intro to the game, then got asked if I wanted to install disc 2 (huh? I already did), so I proceed to input the second DVD and then it asked for the fist; I input this and nothing…… I wait a few minutes (it seems) only to get a dashboard error stating I need disc 1. Even restarting the console didn't help! Arrrrggggghhhhhhh
Going to try deleting disc 2 and loading it via the game, if this is the correct process all well and good, and if it is in the manual then durrr me, but at least I get to play.

P.S. Oh, and if anyone knows a way of getting my M3 redeem code to work, or where to re-download, some advice would be appreciated, I’ve not used this new Live/Dashboard much.

You install dvd 2 through the game otherwise it throws a fit.

did the same thing with disc 2, had to delete it from the hdd and then re-install it when you are prompted after youve put the first disc back in..

The BMW will be in your dealership and the arcade garage, I got the same error but the car downloaded fine it would seem. boot up and have a look.
Do you find that view better than the standard? I might change mine later when I get back on.
In terms of difficulty - If I have an average rated car compared to the AI and its on medium I win easily with 4-5 seconds. On hard I can't seem to keep up with the lead car and is just out of my reach by a couple of seconds.
I have all aids off except the braking line one.

Not really enjoying it that much yet. On medium difficulty I can drive nice and carefully and win with ease but because the laps are so short it's a case of smashing my way through on hard or I end up miles behind the leader. It's missing a difficulty setting imo.
Edit: Just seen the above post. The level of the cars on each difficulty needs better balancing. Don't know why they didn't include a qualifying option before each race either.

I've found adjusting the view options makes the cockpit so much better... Infact its the only view I drive in now! Its awesome 
I use Hard AI and all assists off except clutch and braking line, as I can't be bothered at the moment to learn the tracks properly... I don't have the time to do endless laps learning the optimum braking position... although I always brake later than the line says...

I think it's much better but it does take some tweaking to find your preferred view.

What percentage are you usin m8 as that looks much better than standard and id like to use it like this pic
Also playing the game on hard with no assists at all and like others you really have to pile through the 1st lap to get anywhere near the front car if not its usually 3rd or 4th place, the difficulty needs a patch a feel??
Had to turn the settings down to Medium with TC on some of the Fujimo Kaido (sp?) events in S Class, nearly threw my pad against the screen as it was too much on Hard with a tail-happy Viper CC.
Had absolutely no chance of winning otherwise :/
One thing that annoys me about this game is that the tracks never change their time of day. Too many of them look like they are at dusk/dawn, it would be nice if you could select or at least have them randomly change. Sedona Raceway particularly irritates me with all the shadows across the track.
Also, although this is undoubtedly the best console racer out, there's not enough to set it apart from either GT5P, or even Forza 2. You would have thought T10 would have really pushed the boat out for Forza 3, as it is it's just Forza 2 with better graphics IMO.

Quite enjoying this arcade racer so far, although Medium I'm finding too easy and Hard is too hard!
Also, is it me or is the damage modelling rubbish? Where are the car parts flying off all over the place? Punctured tires, wheels coming off etc.

That picture is using the Full 90 Degrees but I'm using 80 now
