why when in-car - does steering wheel only move left and right about 10% - looks silly - nowhere near enough

some interiors look great (the Fords) - some appauling (Zonda for instance)

wheres the weather ?
 
redeemed my game addon content using the code the download froze at 59% left it going for 30 mins stayed frozen.
Now I have an incomplete download content and when I try and redeem code again it says code has already been used what a joke now I'm stuck without the content they need to sort this out pronto.

just go back to download history and re download the content no need to re enter the code ;)

Erm, all you need to do is go into your download history and start it again. It's not exactly a major problem.

EDIT - Too slow!
 
Beginning to find it a real chore to play on hard. Just can't get anywhere near the top 2 cars on the very short circuits like the Montserrat Mini Circuit Reverse.

Edit: 23 attempts, 22 3rd place finishes and 1 2nd. Bored now.

Okay thanks found where download history is now barely used my 360 so didn't know where download history was

Can anyone clarify what needs to be done for the solid gold achievement? It states finish first in all races in season mode, but that would mean you can't go back and retry the races, I want to do it on hard ai but not if I'm going to have to do the whole season again for the solid gold achievement.
 
Is it worth investing in a steering wheel for this and Dirt 2? Would it give me any kind of edge over using my joypad?

Speaking personally, I can't use a wheel for any "serious" racing, I'm just not accurate enough with it. However for casual messing about, it's great.

I'm sure you can be extremely good with a wheel setup, but I think you also have to have some basic understanding of how a performance car responds in the real world to get the best out of them, which is something I don't have.

In short, if you expect to buy a wheel and be instantly better with it, think again.
 
I had a wheel on my PC - a decent one - and I couldn't get on with it at all - no matter how I had it setup it didn't feel anything like a real wheel

I prefer the 360 controller to be honest
 
I bought a MS wheel and have only played it on the demo so far.

Nismo is right, don't expect to be instantly good at it. I am just now getting consistent lap times and thats after hours of practice in the same car on the same course and i am still a good few seconds behind my best pad time.
 
I've always been better with a wheel hehe

I've never drove a car in real life so I have nothing to compare it to. But I find it much easier with a wheel holding my line round a long corner etc. They do take a good while to get used to though :p
