***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

I got the touchstone dock and case, ordered friday, delivered around 11 today, quite impressed.

Wasn't sure I really wanted/needed the touchstone dock but I do like it, although the case kinda ruins the exhibition mode (I know it charges with the cover around the back but it doesn't sit nicely on the dock like that)

Touchpads are back on the HP EPP store (16 and 32gb models bundled with TouchStone and case).

Guess what the wife is getting for xmas.

Silly rumour going round work that production was restarted on Friday.

Had to arrange to get my TP repaired, the case has cracked by both the speakers, and I managed to break it off by accident.

Phoned HP, they gave me a case reference, then asked me to send an email with no more than 2 pictures of the cracks. They then said it would take 24-48 hours to reply, then they would confirm if they would replace it.

Waiting for that now.

:-)

Guessing the EPP discounts are only for actual HP employees? My company have HP EPP store access as they're in the EPP program as a major customer - but touchpads are showing as £395. Longshot I guess but might call them.

I think they're worth buying, definitely. Resolution is superb I think. Fantastic picture, nice and sharp.
Great with Android running on it. Should see Android 4.0 in 2012 too.

Sat on my newly arrived wireless charging doc now :)

It was my first tablet, and I don't think I could live without one now.....well, I could, but you know what I mean. You find yourself using them all over the place: eating brekkie, on the sofa, in bed reading, etc etc.

What doesn't work for Alpha 3? Installed yesterday and crashed it within seconds trying to watch a video. I hear it's pretty good for an Alpha just haven't had the time to fully explore.

I have a number to call in the morning so hopefully they can sort me something out. I already have one here and sold a few on but now I'm thinking they could make good presents.

EPP rules state items purchased via EPP may not be sold on.

Gifting them to friends and family is ok though.
