***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

Also, I've noticed when I hit power button from "sleep", the screen is very bright. About 10 seconds later, the screen dims slightly, but it's noticeably less bright. In the settings brightness is 100%.

Anyone have this problem/feature? Anything to do with battery levels? Currently about 20%.

EDIT: Ignore me, it's auto-dim feature. EDIT2, although I don't quite understand on what basis it dims? Once it has dimmed, there is no way I can find to get it back to 100%. Does it check light levels in the room using the camera or something?

Can anyone recommend any games (touchpad ones, not webOS 2.0 or Pre games)?

I only have Angry Birds HD so far, and I am starting to get bored of that (having played it to death on other devices).

Also, has anyone else used the built in music player? I notice that it lags when using the coverflow (album art) view and scrolling through covers. Is there a good alternative that shows album art. Something visually similar to IOS music players, or the Samsung app on their phones or PlayerPro (for Android).

superNES. SNES emulator, just need the roms to play.

Advanced Browser is very good! Bookmarks are so much easier to manage and to access. Makes the default one look pale in comparison.

Sadly yes. Its in early stages of development though so maybe with feedback the devs can change it.

The person who designed that stupid mechanism needs to be shot though.

while I can get my hotmail emails on there, does anyone know of a way to get the calender to sync the same way? I use wm7 and use hotmail for all my calendars appointments etc.

Is it a hotmail.com or live.com address?

Cool, will look into those.

I just added my hotmail account based on http://www.touchpadtalk.com/2011/07...-on-the-hp-touchpad-using-microsoft-exchange/

Just picked Exchange account, put in e-mail address and password (weirdly it did not ask for domain, even though you would expect it for an Exchange account) and it synced my Hotmail straightaway.

it's hotmail.com and already tried your link/ Get to enter email address and password and it falls over.

Has anyone bought a sleeve for theirs? I don't mean a massive case, just a sleeve that covers the whole TP for chucking into a bag with.

You could probably try one of those cases from poundland for a 10" netbook, going to look at my local for one tomorrow as a temporary measure before my official case gets here..... And yes its a pound ;)

my targus case arrived from amazon today - nice case and tight squeeze, but seems to be ok.
The speakers are covered, but can still hear them fine.
The power and volume buttons are part hidden, but still very usable.
The only downside is the weight, but then my TP does feel very secure and safe.

I'll have a play with a soldering iron later to see if I can free up the speakers, but it's not really necessary.

Anyone know of any RDP clients? The only one I've found at the minute is the SplashTop one which is in development. :(
