*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I would go with Orange, but their handsets are branded which really annoys me, defeats the purpose of android... I have read that GMail/GTalk doesn't work either?

Why not go with Orange but via reseller like cpw or mobiles.co.uk. your phone will be unlocked and unbranded.

I've installed the voice search and keyboard mod, so now have it on the quick search and keyboard.
got little under 30mb left of the 120mb rom, not sure how many more I can install.

when selecting the keyboard mod in the settings it gave a warning about it may collect data(password etc), is there a risk of that happening or just a general warning for such things?

@VodafoneUKdeals on Twitter are ringing me next week, hopefully they can match or better the T-Mobile deals otherwise the best I have found online today is.

18 months x £25 (100 minutes, unlimited texts and internet, £60 for the phone with £30 cashback, so £480 in total.)

Anyone know any where good to get the screen replaced on a Desire :( it only fell off my knee while i was sat on a chair and hit a vinyl floor, the screen has cracked in 3 places but fortunately it still works, suppose thats the problem with phones that have a glass screen,

I rang Vodaphone and they told me i had no insurance so it would be £541 for a new one, i have only had it a week.

Its just the way the default client works.

If you want it to update the server then use something like K9 Mail.

It's to do with Hotmail and IMAP.

The default client can do IMAP but I'm not sure if hotmail servers support it?

I know GMail can do it :)

Nope, Hotmail doesn't support IMAP (and if they did they'd almost certainly charge for it). And they wonder why they're losing so many to Gmail...

They got back to me 2 hours after I contacted them. They refused to offer me a deal because I'm already a Vodafone customer - and directed me to my local Vodafone store.

Who offered me the phone for £35 a month

 That sucks! Call HTC themselves I guess and see what the damage is.

Well my issue would be that I've been with Orange since forever and currently on something like £25/month for 1200 minutes, unlimted texts/internet, so would probably be expecting the same on renewal!

I'd say contact HTC directly, see if they're able to fix it. Being quoted £541 is a bit ridiculous too seen as I picked up a brand new one, sim free & unbranded, for £380.

Woke up this morning and i had to physically take the keyboard out as it was laggy as hell and wouldn't restart.

My friend has experienced this also.

This is the only bad thing i've experienced with this :(
