s-off means security off
htc use a security check to make sure things you try to run are signed and if they aren't then they don't run
some roms require the security to be turned off to run properly.
it's not that difficult to do and google should point you in the right direction

Even though I use twitter and BookFace a lot I don't miss Sense at all no as I found it too bloated and I prefer individual apps for connections rather than a hub that integrates them with less features for each service.

Thats the rub.. The best thing about Leedroid was that it ALL worked. I'm happy (keen even) to dump Sense but I want a COMPLETELY WORKING Rom.

cm7 works great for me, its so much faster than any sense rom
Is it just me or it happens quite often. Previously had Desire witha tiny bubble inside the digitizer, and later I had Desire HD with two dead pixels. One black, one green :] Since few years I'm avoiding HTCs. Guy did you get any faulty devices like me, with dead pixels etc?

I've owned 3 HTC devices over the years and neither had screen problems or anything like that. You might just have gotten unluicky here

Me and my wife both have HTC DEsires and my daughter has a HTC Legend none of them have any screen issues at all.

i have fixed many a iphone with a digitizer issue, but i dont recall seeing anyone in this thread with that issue.
