***The Official HTC One Thread***

I've got the GPe version and am running Lollipop. Any ideas why my battery life is utterly appalling after the update? I can barely get a day of use, and that's with the phone sat on my desk doing nothing most of the time.
Looking at my stats, it seems that my WiFi is active for 100% of the time my phone is on. Even though I have the WiFi set to turn off when asleep. This accounts for nearly 40% of my battery usage.

Did you update via OTA? Could try doing a factory reset to see if that helps. People on XDA who did a clean flash seems to have noticed better battery life.

Fixed the battery issue with a clean build. Thanks.
Next problem is that my proximity sensor has stopped working. Any ideas how to fix this as it's writer irritating due to my ear keep muting my calls.

Weird question but can somebody tell me if the M7 included earphones:

  • have an HTC logo on each earbud; and
  • have the right or left ear indicator on the side of the earphones or below the earphones (almost on the cable).

Thanks!

mine don't have either of the above

Where is the left/right indicator then? :)

i'm wondering if its worn off. there definitely not a left/right indicator that i can see now. I know I always wear the one with the inline mic in my right ear but now you have me wondering why.

I have the original HTC earphones which is my backup (although my SoundMagic E10s are lasting a very long time), there's no logo on the earphones, and on the side of the buds is R and L:

Yup, delayed: http://www.htc.com/us/go/lollipop-update/

I don't really blame them though, stock Lollipop itself isn't exactly... bug free. I'm expecting a couple of weeks to at least a month. Any longer and I may be tempted to go down the custom ROM route...

Same, my One is super laggy and the moment and a bit sick of it. Pretty sure my Lumia 630 should not be a quicker in all tasks...

I've gave up on outlook app altogether on my one, if I want to check it I use my Lumia or firefox on my one as it just breaks.

Have you tried doing a factory reset? My friend's M7 started lagging really badly but a factory reset seems to have solved it.

Is this the new Outlook app? Reviews so far seems quite negative, stating loads of bugs... but it is only a preview after all so the finished release should be more stable.

I don't think so, I think it was just the normal outlook app have had it some time.

I might try the preview haha.

I really should factory reset it, last time it did this it was quite full as I get a fair few podcasts, however cleared it this time and no joy.

It's not like its just firefox as it used to be it's now all inputs that are laggy.

I need to find a spot of time to reset it me thinks. I had been waiting for lollipop to do it.
