Apart from using tegra 3, I think it is superb, would rather have it over the GS 3.

Big battery and a lot more storage are the only improvements over the X.

However, unless storage is an issue or you really prefer the design and sense software of it and possibly a better camera there is no reason to not get the nexus 4 instead, way better overall aside from what i mentioned there and possibly the screen quality, especially when it is nearly half the price of the X+...

Is there a concensus as to whether the One X+ is any good or not?
I think it is an improvement on the One X but both the One X and One X+ are nullified thanks to the Nexus 4, in my opinion. :)

Well that depends - it's certainly an improvement but nothing too significant.

I've pretty much gone off HTC for the moment. They don't learn.
What winds me up about HTC phones is the positioning of the USB port on the side. I don't want my phone to be landscape oriented in a dock thanks. I'm also not happy with HTC's decision to have no SD card support for most of their phones post-Sensation. It's too Apple-esque a move to make. I wouldn't have bothered with a 32GB One X but the 64GB One X+ was another matter. It still isn't really enough space for me to fit my entire music collection on but with the Nexus 4 being so much cheaper, SIM free anyway, I'll get the 16GB Nexus 4 AND a new, larger iPod Classic, for less than the cost of a new One X+ SIM free. I wouldn't have bought the One X+ SIM free but as a comparison of price, it does show what good value the Nexus 4 is.

What disappoints you with HTC at the moment? Why do you say they don't learn? From their previous models or other phones?

Well, the fact the One X+ exists is part of the issue. Instead of releasing a single phone and then supporting it, they wait a few months and release a half-arsed upgrade to it. Irritating. They've done this a few times now.

Then there's the non-communication when it comes to software updates, and still people haven't got Jelly Bean yet on the One phones (not properly, at least).

Then there's the silly things they do, like putting a superior SoC in a mid-range phone, and a lesser one in the high end phone, or just generally having a battery that's too small, etc.

I'm just tired of them. Their designs are nice but that's about it.

Yeah, the Sensation XE and XL didn't make me happy considering I'd just got the Sensation.

What I don't get is how earlier this year HTC announced that it knew and realized it was confusing consumers with so many models of ones and wanted to simplify it all with the One series. Now we have three version of the X model alone.....like wtf are they doinggggggg

Onto 3rd replacement for my wife now, 1st one started artifacting, 2nd one worked fine but had a buggered LED from being dropped, todays imaculate one again is artifacting and was showing no display etc etc maybe serves me right for buying refurbs.....
