Poll: *** The Official iPad mini 7 thread (if you fall asleep and drop it on your head, it doesn't hurt as much as an iPad Pro and everything!) ***

Agree with this. I think hardware in Apple devices is reaching a plateu. Notwithstanding minor evolutions and camera improvements I think software is where it is increasingly at now, and services

The thing that I'm worrying about as a member of the homunculus crowd is that the claims that they're going to make things thinner is true. I don't need or want a thin phone. I'm going to get crucified for saying this buy with some of their lines it seems like they're building for female hands and it's a struggle using them. lol

I'd actually jump on getting a mini in a heart beat it if it could do some of the functionality that the iPhone does. Just another reason apple needs to bite the bullet and release that long desired foldable phone.

Anyone had a niggle with screen faults? Got a bright white spot bottom left in portrait view. It’s been treated with kid gloves, not thrown about, and screen’s flawless really. I’m absolutely at a loss to explain how it could have been damaged (unlikely, given the screen surface is perfect still).

Definitely a physical issue, as the surrounding area blooms when touched. Booked in Monday coming under AppleCare, so it’ll get sorted.

Don’t worry, I’ll not be screaming off to MacRumors to rant about “Single White Spot on iPad Mini 7-gate”!

Bit the bullet and ordered one today. I know all the downsides and disappointments people have but the form factor is just too good for me to pass up. It’s expensive for a e-reader, note taking and media consumption device but I suspect I’ll end up using it more than my Pro!

What do yo umean by a bright white spot? is that not something worth putting in an RMA request for?

It looks like something internal putting pressure on the screen, bottom left (in portrait) about 5mm across and 15mm diagonally from lower left corner. Apple authorised a replacement as soon as they saw it in the Gateshead store earlier today.

Actually looks a little like when Jerry rig everything take a lighter to a screen! If it’s damage, I’ve honestly no clue how it’s happened.

Best photo I could get when trying to tame the phone camera!

Very noticeable on light backgrounds.
