I've used it two times and not had an issue either, but then neither phone had major damage, just usual wear and tear associated with running a phone for 2 years without a case.

Ta, it's always been in a case, so the condition is great; however, I assume they will need to replace the battery, so I will need to factor that in. I don't know how much they'll knock off what they valued it at.

These are their trade in conditions:

  • It turns on and functions normally
  • All the buttons work
  • The cameras work and all lenses are free of damage
  • The battery holds a charge
  • The body is free of dents and scratches
  • The touchscreen and back glass are undamaged
  • The display is free of distortion, lines and black or white spots
The big one is dents and scratches. So long as you are content with that then you won't have issues. The fact it only says battery must hold charge to me doesn't point towards a requirement for a certain battery health.

I don’t often phone people, but when I do.. the iPhone air is trash at phone calls. It’s just garbled robot voice I can barely hear the other person. I don’t think it’s my network though
 
Also getting an issue where YouTube won’t work on 4G. The video starts fine, but soon as I tap the screen to “unmute” the video stops. It has to be the phone as I’ve never had issue before.

Worth getting it reset and or replaced by Apple ? You 100% it isnt your network ?
 
Alas, have had to push the button on a 17 to replace my beloved 13 Mini. My mini is terminally ill. I had a brief stop over in Android land when I got an amazing deal on a Pixel 9a but whilst it's a really nice phone, I just miss the continuity and I am far too embedded in the walled garden. I was hoping to be able to eke out until the 18.

Thought i'd upgrade my watch and my AirPods Max whilst I'm at it. Ultra 3 and new AirPods to replace my battered and bruised original APM.
 
iPhone 17 is going back - not a fan of the coating on the back for some reason it feels very different, and considering I don't use a case - not for me. Not too sure where to go with phones now, I don't like the bigger phones, and I don't like iOS 26.
 
I’ve had my Pro Max for a few weeks now and there’s something annoying that I’m sure never happened on my 15. When watching videos, particular on X (Twitter) the screen dims, I always thought as long as I was looking at the phone it recognised that. I’ve tried the usual suggestions of display brightness etc etc. maybe it always did this, I just don’t recall.

Have you tried the attention aware features?
 
Finally gave in and did a trade in for my Deep Purple 14 Pro (£250) for a Black 256gb 17. The battery life is certainly hitting me now with its health at 88% and the weight of the device along with having to have a lightning cable, when my whole house is USB-C just annoys now.
 
Just traded my 13 pro Max for a 17 and really loving the reduced size and weight, pocket ability and portability - wife still insists that the 13 pro Max is for her :cry:
