Yep had it booked in, they reseated it. Took around an hour and it’s fine now.

EDIT: it’s coming off again! Have booked another appointment for tomorrow.

EDIT 2: They have moved the innards to a new enclosure. Hopefully this will be fixed for good.

I’ve had my air long enough now I’ve started to go completely caseless. My case was super thin anyway (some 0.1mm mous thing).. but this feels so much better.
 
Getting my 17 from work next week. Any case recommendations? I have a Wave case on my 15 and I like the texture and style... just wondering if there was anything else out there that was relatively thin. I'm tempted to go caseless since its' a work phone, but if I do drop it and break it they might tell me off as they do supply a yucky transparent case with it so I guess there's an expectation that you use it :o Needs to be magsafe compatible too..
 
Cases for me aren't about protecting the phone, it's about being able to grip the ******* thing. Without a case I the phone slides out of my hand 3 or 4 times a day. I've tried all sorts but always go back to the Apple silicon ones

What are your reasons for doing so?
If size is a factor then I don’t think it’s worth it. While the Pro Max certainly isn’t a comfortable one-handed phone neither is the Air to a large extent.
I shared my ramblings on the Air further back and overall just found it to be a bit meh.

IMO the worst of the 17 Series but that’s mostly (if not entirely) subjective.

I just really like it, at least from playing around with it in-store. I like the lightness and feel of it, plus the design, materials and build quality put the 17 Pro to shame.

The 17 Pro Max is amazing but overkill for me so just wondering if I should try something different.

That's fair. I am certainly not in a position to judge as I owned all the 17 series phones at one point or another (mostly out of curiosity) before eventually settling on the base 17 which was ironically my initial purchase.
 
Well, I hadn't exactly planned to do this, but... I've upgraded to an iPhone 17 :)

The recent price increases, plus a few battery and suspicious crashing issues popping up recently prompted me to trade in a few old devices, and my 13 Mini. In the end the balance was only £144 (!), so I think I did reasonably well. I expect the 18s to be more expensive and I think they're all pricey enough.

The size of the new phone still feels too large to me, but the screen is definitely a nice upgrade, the whole thing feels a lot snappier, and I like the better quality speakers on it. The transfer process in store was slow but relatively straightforward; WhatsApp took ages, everything else was fairly quick.

There's a little metal strip on one side which I don't recognise, and doesn't seem to do anything, but there's a cut-out for it in the case I'm using, so I assume it's either an aerial or a button of some kind? :confused:
 
Okay, worked out what it is - it's the 'Camera Control' button. However, it doesn't click or seem to do anything when I press it. Is it supposed to, or is it purely used when taking photos? :confused:
